And what would we do in the meantime, just bum around? I say we take the job and leave now, unless someone has a better idea of what we should be doing.

But then we might miss the dinner, and that would be very un-gentlemanly.

So how are you today?

Oh, good point. I say that if the dinner's still a bit away, we explore further into the market. If not, it wouldn't hurt to show up a few minutes early.

When is dinner, anyways? I'd imagine it's sometime in the evening, and we should be back by then.

If we can get back in time, we should go but we are gentleman and should make sure we are on time with this nice fisherman...

I say we wait till the next day.
While we wait for evening, it may be a good idea to exlore the town.
Maybe we get other oppurtunities for work as well while doing so?

Town's pretty big, so if you want to wander it, make sure to pick a place first. Otherwise you're liable to end up in a really bad part of town by GM fiat.

Go to the really bad part of town. Ask for rumors. If not, who would actually mess with a Flynd in a tight-fitting blue cap?

Ever read a choose your own adventure book? You know how on some pages, there were those really obvious bad choices, ones that you were almost positive would end up in a bad THE END? The ones that you always marked the page you were on before flipping to out of morbid curiosity, just to see what happens?

The above suggestion is kinda like doing that... except in this situation, you don't have a page to flip back to.

Consider yourselves warned.

VETO

I agree on running around town, but I don't know what to look for.  Try to find some public gardens or something, I guess?  I sort of feel like what we should be doing right now is meeting interesting people, trying to pick up some more party members, whatever.  Explosions can wait until tomorrow morning.

Go to the docks and meet the fisherman's son, but stow the hat, probably won't fly with those folk.
