1) Mine harder!
Log faster!
Farm Better!
Stockpile money, goods and raw materials of all kinds. FOR TRADE!

2) Set up trade with the nearest colonies to earn as much money as possible.

3) Raise taxes to a level that wont aggravate the populace, at least not too much

4) Start transporting guns and ammo to the front lines.

Sell Morningglow-flavored beer as Sunrise Ale. What's the difference between beer and ale, anyways?
Continue trying to farm Morningglow. Also continue normal farming as well.

Colony Name: New Veragua
Name: Sir Ian Kaeden Ainsworth
Region: South

  • Expand and focus on the harvest, as always. We'll need the money more than ever.
  • Send half my remaining funds (after taxes, fees etc.) to Timothy Mayor II along with a couple militia for guards.
  • Send a few scouts into Spanish territory to determine what the enemy is doing.

To Governor Timothy Mayor II of Freekennels:

Greetings! I'm glad to hear that you've established some peaceful relations with the local Indian population. Hopefully when this thrice-blasted war is over we can civilize them and bring them under Christ's banner, though I fear that'll be some time away.

I'm glad to hear that you'll be heading to Europe, and I wish Godspeed to you. I'm sending half my treasury with this letter, in the hopes that you'll find it most useful in the halls of Europe. At the very least use it to buy a couple cannons for me posthaste. My men are more enthusiastic than trained, God bless their souls, and a couple of artillery pieces would go a long way to protecting our border.

Now I don't have much in the way of a military plan. New Veragua ain't got much in the way of men, muskets or gunpowder, and I reckon a full-blown campaign is way out of our grasp. So I'll be sitting nice and tight in Nicuesa, and keeping my eye out for any Spanish dogs unruly enough to stick their noses over the border. Then I'll give them a right hiding they won't soon forget. And if they stick their noses into Freekennels, well then I'll give them a hiding there too. It'd be the neighbourly thing to do. Of course if the King decides to send some Regulars our way, then it'd be a different story, but that's a big if.

With well wishes in God, Sir Ian Kaeden Ainsworth.

There is none, because ALE IS A TYPE OF BEER.

Cool.

(I'll freely admit to not knowing much about alcohol.)

To Sir Ian Kaeden Ainsworth:

Thank you for the well wishes, money, and most importantly commitment to the defense of Freekennels. I am making ready for my departure to Europe, and would like to share a few final thoughts and plans. My plan is to try and butter up Nobles and Generals for whatever spare resources they can afford to make disappear. I will try to avoid the bureaucratic and political nightmare of dealing with parliaments and crowned heads.

Should these methods prove effective I may choose to extend my stay in Europe for the duration of the war. The way I see it, in these troubled times we need somebody to represent the colonies back in the old world. Should I be up for the task, I hope my people can look out for themselves and remain more or less civil until my return. Should you feel the need to assert order in Freekennels however, you have my blessings to do whatever need be done. Should I fail to get results in Britain and Germany I will return home where I can hopefully do more good.

On the issue of the injuns, I would encourage you to reach out to them and hire some of their warriors to train our troops. In these troubled times I wager we need their savage techniques and knowledge of the land as much as they need our faith and civilization. Should I fail in Europe I will take such outreach measures upon myself.

Finally I would like inform you that I will pay a visit to Oxford and try to lure some students and professors down to our neck of the woods to both study and teach the savages. Although I doubt I will get many takers during a time of war, I am thinking in the long term. At some point after the war I would like to put a University in Freekennels to rival any in Europe. I am informing you, because if New Veragua wishes to contribute I would be willing to place it on or near the border between us. I don't expect you to come to a decision or even ponder this too deeply until after this thrice dammed war concludes, but I am beginning to firmly believe that the Americas could become the Jewl of the empire.

Let us survive (or god willing win!) this war, and prosper in friendship.
-Timothy Mayor II

Just AI them for this turn. It's already been a couple weeks, and any further delays won't help. Though obviously if somebody chimes in before you finish the term, then slot them in.

Yeah that was my plan.  Royal Occupation!  Here's a first, Alomoes is unavailable as a name on the now free Unreal Worlds forum.  :0

Some other people have not posted :(.  I'm not waiting.  I've done an overhaul of the entire money system.  It is more capitalisty now and less calculations for me, always a bonus.  I got rid of the bane of my existence, money and taxes.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I finally got the update out
The question now is what do you do with your two armies? Do you brashly attack? Do you cowardly hold at home?
Also if Highlesia or Altenia don't post soon they are fired and we would need new governors for them.

We need a new governor for Meridia.  We need someone to end the fighting between the poor farmers and the rich plantation owners!

Edit: I do not know why some parts of the post double spaced.

Put all of your specials there too.
Also, we are NOT doing our turns yet.  I want to know if you guys want to advance or not.  In the war update, the French militia and native army is hurt and scattered in the forest.  In the South the Spaniards still have not attacked.  What do you guys do?  War will take place in mini updates like this.  It is because somewhere I said that turns take three years long, and a lot can happen in three years militarily.
