Roll 32

Spoiler: superBlast, AKA Ryan (click to show/hide)

-----

"Ship will begin manuvering in thirty minutes."
*Reminder: The artificial gravity on the ship is caused by the ship maintaining an acceleration of roughly 9.8m/s, aka Earth's gravity at the surface. When a ship enters combat or begins to manuver around asteroids and such, the crew are expected to either wear equipment for staying on your feet (such as magnetic boots) or report to the bridge section where there are chairs designed to accomodate the forces caused by manuvering.*

As the preparations were finished, the ship began to go into a sort of stealth mode to conserve power as the entire outer shell of the vessel needed to be cooled down. The ship had already entered the usual flow of traffic in the system, where it couldn't be distinguished from trading vessels, freelancers, explorers, military craft, and so on. The Borealis, however, was no pirate vessel and couldn't be disguised as one in time, so the crew resorted to hiding next to an asteroid for the duration of the mission, launching the shuttle and remaining in orbit until the shuttle returned.

-----

*In the bridge*

A member of the bridge crew walked up to the display panel and began to talk to Russano.
"Captain, we've located a suitable asteroid that we can orbit. Proceed to launch the shuttle."
"Yes, we'll be off."

*Meanwhile in the hangar bay, all four party members as well as Ares are in the main cabin and the airlock is about to seal shut.*

"All systems checked, we're ready to go. Ready to act like pirates?"
Ares put a fake eyepatch over his left eye.
"The looted transponder is installed. After the launch, the autopilot should do the rest, we'll just have to act convincing. Get take some ale from the back and bump the mugs against the armrests every once-in-a-while."

Suddenly, the artificial gravity that was present for most of the voyage faded, and the hangar door retracted, revealing the blackness of space through the opening. The shuttle was extended out of the bay via a robotic arm, and once it was far enough from the Borealis, its thrusters engaged and the party was off to the base.

-----

Caellath, AKA Russano Neskratt

A face popped up on the viewscreen. Russano, in the captain's seat, answered the station's call.
"Identification."
"Bloodhound Clan Leader. Azobos. We have some talks scheduled." Russano answered, sounding slightly deeper than usual and not any more blunt than normal.
*Brief silence*
"Hangar five, you're early."
Ares directed the ship toward the specified hangar door. The three panels which made it up slid apart, revealing the docking platform: a fixture designed to hold the ship in place while the station crew attached the entry tunnel in zero-G.

*Ship docks*

Russano proceeded through the entry tunnel, wearing the ceremonial armor adorned with a few additional black strips hanging from his joints and shoulders. He wasn't quite as used to being on stations which, unlike ships, had no artificial gravity. He and the others had put on standard magnetic boots which allowed easy movement through the non-spinning portions of the station. Only the center ring of the station, surrounded by rock and housing the employee quarters and offices, had gravity, and because it was spinning there were only two entrances to the center which had a specialized elevator to bring people to the edge of the ring safely.

He and the party were stopped at the lobby door by two armed guards in mechanized armor.
Your papers? one asked, his voice echoing through the speakers on the front of his helmet.
Russano gave them the forged papers he received from Perfectio at the beginning of the mission.
[1] "Alright, all of you can come in, but we need to speak to Azobos for the moment."

*The others go in, careful not to raise any suspicion.*

As the door shut, the guard raised one of the sheets and pointed to the date and time for the meeting.
"This is our first time dealing with your Clan and we don't quite trust each other yet. Understood?"
Russano nodded, then realized that his armor didn't support vertical head movement.
"Yes," he replied with haste.
"Just know that we have the best private security force you've ever seen. Don't mess with us, we've had troublesome visitors come early before and try to sack the place, abduct the workers, and so on. We don't mess around."

With that, the guards let him through, telling him to wait in the bar with his party until the clock read 14. An escort would arrive shortly.

--

superBlast, AKA Ryan

Ryan stumbled through the lobby in the borrowed armor. The servos swung his legs too far out when he walked, causing him to lose his balance multiple times. He ended up having to cling to the wall to safely move, attracting the attention of a group of pirates at a nearby table. One of them got up and walked over.

"Hey there, we're not familiar with you guys. Where are you from? Omicrons? Walker Corps?"

--

Maxinum McDreich, AKA Davis Theul

Davis interpreted her grin as a sign of aggression. He reminded himself where his pistol was, if necessary, and went on the defensive.
"Hey," he began, expecting them to comment on Ryan's clumsiness.
"Leave him alone, he's had too much ale."
"Oh what? Yeah, I'm drunk..."
"No, I was just saying hi..."

--

HEN, AKA Dominic Zoshan

While the others handled social interaction, Dominich looked at the signs hanging above the hallway entrances to figure out where to go.

Ryan tries just standing so he doesn't need to cling to the wall anymore. Ryan starts to wonder if he could uses his powers to control his armor better? Worth a shot so he'll stop stumbling all over the place... or worse if something does goes wrong he's not stumbling while running away.

See if my armor has electronics in it that I could use to control the suit better. And leave all the talking to Davis and just follow his lead. If I do need to talk, try sounding mean since pirates are supposed to be mean right?

Dominic examined the sign. He decided to investigate whatever the 'Pits' area was.

Investigate the Pits. Consider options on possible distractions to lessen security around office area.

Russano, having decided to calmly wait, begins scanning the area for any notable features. Automated turrets, security-oriented machinery and even remote-controlled cameras are sought by his eyes in an attempt to discover how likely to face heavy trouble they are if something goes horribly wrong.

Keep waiting, run a visual check for cameras, turrets and security equipment.

[Bliggity blaggity bleep blop bloogers!!!! So sorry! I missed this! I knew there was something awesome missing in my life!]

Davis remained somewhat guarded, trying to read the pirates demeanor. Rather than going all out into mind reading, he tried a more subtle attempt to reach her basic intentions/emotions just incase anyone can pick up his abilities if they were stronger.

Roll 33

Spoiler: superBlast, AKA Ryan (click to show/hide)

-----

superBlast, AKA Ryan

Despite his still-present amnesia, Ryan found that he could still mentally connect with the suit to figure out where the motors were.
After listening closely to their hums as we walked around, he remembered how motors worked and began to walk using his control over the suit to take over for the onboard computer. His new method better matched his gait, so he stopped stumbling around.
Ryan did not question that he was drunk, though, since that could raise suspicion thanks to his obvious inexperience with his armor.

He saw two guards clad in power armor emerge from the barracks, rifles slung. They slowly walked past Ryan and Davis as Davis spoke. Ryan couldn't help but guess that they were listening, judging by their speed.

Maxinum McDreich, AKA Davis Theul

Davis talked to the pirates.
"We're from the Bloodhound Clan. Not likely to have heard of us, our dealings are often elsewhere and sparse. Yourself, miss?"
"Never heard of 'em. We're just freelancers ourselves,"
That was good, since he could fabricate things. Davis was beginning to suspect that the bloodhound clan might not even exist--he did not doubt the efficacy of the Royal Agency yet, however, as things seemed to be in order.
"...working here and there. Those two are my brothers, by the way. James and Max. I'm Paula." she motioned toward the two drinkers at the table and held out her hand to shake in greeting.
"We're thinking of getting organized, starting our own band, maybe. How big is your clan, exactly?"

One of the two guards that Ryan spotted slowed down to a stop, turning to face the group. He said nothing, though.

--

HEN, AKA Dominic Zoshan

Zoshan split off from the others to investigate what exactly the pits were. He guessed that they were like the Ring from Lokhis--some kind of arena, perhaps, meant to coerce the captured workers and indimidate them into working harder.
He made his way through a small hallway and past an automatic sliding bulkhead.
He saw that the area was simply the area where the mining was done. In the distance as well as on levels far below the one Dominic was on, dozens of workers clad in jumpsuits were working mining equipment to break up the rocks and grind it into ore. He saw no guards other than the two at his side, whom were watching the door.
"Permit?" the guard asked in the characteristic low-pitched voice of an evil space marine, just like in the movies.

--

Caellath, AKA Russano Neskratt

Russano took a look around the room, scanning the ceiling and upper walls for security equipment. He found one camera in the bar located on top of the bar's menu board. It faced the entrance from the docks and scanned the room periodically, but it never checked the back of the room as the bar counters were in the center of the room. A small oversight, perhaps? There were seams in the wall where panels could conceivably move aside to allow a turret through, but since the camera had a serious blind spot and there were no permanent guard stations in the room, an intruder could pull something off and escape the room before the bar's occupants could warn the guards in time. To where, exactly, Russano wasn't sure.

Satisfied with his discovery, the diplomat moves his gaze away from the walls only to notice his companions seem to be under scrutiny. Which means it is about time to break the guard's focus with some acting. "Hey, boys!" the warlock calls from his seat on the bar, waving a hand.

"We're here for some damn business, try to keep flirting to a minimum and your little fellas inside your pants for the time being. And you!" he continues, pointing an accusing finger at Ryan. "The next time I see you drunk before an important reunion, you're in for a bad time, boy."

Act, wait for reunion.

((Edit: Corrected small mistake.))

Oh Good, thank Russano! Ryan had no idea what do now other then stand around.... but thanks to Russano he doesn't have to worry about standing out by just standing.

Head over to where Russano is sitting at and fake stumble some to keep up the drunk act.

Davis shakes Paula's hand, and was about to reply when Russano interjected, leaving Davis somewhat flustered.
''That... would be our residential leader who lacks the art of subtlety. Looks like this meeting's cut short for now. I'm sure we'll meet again.'' He looked to the three as he said so.

Then Davis walks to where Russano is.
''Seriously, you really had to say that?''

"Of course I had to. This way, you aren't going to need to go around talking about our clan to anyone, not even the ladies." Russano replies in the same commanding tone he has just used though now quieter. The diplomat can't help but wonder whether his teammate didn't notice he's acting his own part in the whole play.

Although Davis seems to be an exception to the rule, most mercenaries do not talk and act like gentlemen. They're supposed to be associated with pirates, after all.

''Read the situation 'leader'. Mercenaries only follow the 'chain of command' if they have respect and comraderie with their leader. Embarrassing team members is reserved for those who are low on that chain. Look at my equipment. Do I look like a lowly member that you can embarrass?'' Davis was very quiet, but kept it animated so that anyone that tried to listen in would conclude Davis was merely reacting to being embarrassed. Saying that, what he said probably would give that impression anyway... and wouldn't really be wrong in that assumption either.
