Cast illusion of, uh, adamantine socks in the far corner. Everyone knows dwarves like socks right?

This guy knows what he's on about.

You cast an illusion of adamantine socks in the corner, relying upon their mysterious foot-covering fetish to provide a distraction. The entire room stops. The noise, the beating upon flesh, the grunts of pain and pleasure, all stop.
What comes next, is a pandemonium. Dwarves, woman, children and all the men almost trample each-other in an attempt to acquire the illusionary socks. The play-fighting turned to real fighting. People are dying.
Then, one dwarf reaches the socks, a lowly hauler, and discovers the lie. Once more, the room falls silent. But it is a strange silence. The slowly bubbling anger seems to fill the room. It all comes to a peak when one dwarf yells in pure anger and sprints away, babbling about needing conch shells.
Two haulers follow, seemingly broken by the way they carry themselves. Then, another scream follows. This one, is pure uncontained rage, and soon another follows. And another , and another.

Soon the dwarven song of death, rings throughout the halls. A loud scream, said to wake the dead and chill the souls of undwarven, and makes any dwarf that hears it enter a trance of courage and bloodlust.
It is a process often called, militising. Technically, they all count as soldiers now, whom will never run. As long as they have a weapon, they will kill, as long as they have hands, they will strange, as long as they have legs, they will kick and as long as they have teeth, they bite. Consciousness is the only limitation to their bloodlust.
They look around, trying to find the one who could be responsible for this outrage. Their eyes fall upon your wizard.
They charge forward, as one mind. One unit. Before you can react, they rip him apart. His screams, quickly muffled by their choking beards. Soon, nothing is left. His equipment, gone. His beaten body, shattered into a dozen pieces brought together again for the ultimate removal.
They bring him away, pushing you aside rather then crushing you underfoot to be brought to the smasher. Even the gods do not understand it, but you know that nothing will ever bring Wander back.

In nothing but a two minutes, Wander has been reduced to nothing.
It's all your fault.
All your fault.
Seum and you remain behind in the emptied hall. A silence in the horrifying aftermath. Seum is completely shellshocked, and even you still have a ringing from the dwarven song of death.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This was also very fun to write.
Dwarves, when motivated are less a people, and more a force.

Well, they did that once.

Well that could have went better, RIP Wander.

+1. Don't want to give up the area before we get to do anything, think of the loot, possible dwarf prince, and DF references we are missing out on, but I guess we messed any chance of that up.
Just keep an eye out for anything we can grab on the run, priority on getting Seum out alive.

So accidentally causing the citizens of a mountain-home to rip each other apart over socks gets us nothing? Damn, plus side: Woot soon we level up, lets go kick a dwarf child! (Not really, well maybe, but not in front of Shellshocked Seum, he is probably going to be a tad sour over what we have done already once he gets his act back together.)

KS, is your profile picture supposed to look like Putribilibus Carnifex?

Idea! Say that this clearly shows that the Dwarves are bad, and therefore Seum should shun and kill them!
Or just point out how tantrum spirals work, and tell Seum that if we wait it out, then we get the fortresses loot for free.

You grab Seum by the arm and start pulling him with all your power towards the exit.
We need to go? RIGHT NOW.
B-but Wander-Wander is dead. Beyond that, even, he is pulverized. And there are a few deaths, which means that some dwarves are going to get angry.
So what!?
Those angry dwarves are going to get other dwarves angry. This fortress will start ripping itself apart soon. The mountainhomes have procedures in place, but it'll be a pandemonium for a while.
You run-nay, sprint- towards the exit, swatting an angered female soldier aside. She's carrying her bleedin' child with her.
You are happy you won't be around for the drama later.

When you get outside, the blistering mountain cold feels like a whip, but the relief of getting out on time lessens the sting.
Oh, look at that, you levelled up! You smile in happiness upon recongnising it. Seum remains looking shocked.
Level up!

Decay: Sucks the life out of an area, giving you a small boost and giving penalties to any poor fool standing on the decayed floor.

Dark presence: casting this curse over someone will cause any and all things that detect evil to go off on the victim. They may also take to darker paths. Rolling a 20 will gives the target a strength bonus and gives you the ability to possess them at any time. It also guarantees the darker paths thing.

Rot Missile: fires off a blast of magic that causes appropriate magic. In your case, rot.

Heal and Harm: Gives you the ability to heal people who either follow you or are on the evil side of the alignments. Harms anyone who does not fit these parameters.

Mind scream: Fills surrounding people's minds with aan unearthly shriek, stunning them if they don't pass a mental resistance check. May be troublesome against EXTREMELY evil creatures.(You are more of a lawful evil sort. But I mean that in god-rules, not mortal-laws)

Passive abilities.
Devourer: Gives you the ability to feed off of dead corpses for a decent heal and energy boost when in a host body.  Feeding is done weirdly.
Mental poison: Makes your poison inflict mental damage, and causes fear. This carries over to your solid form.
Non-discriminating Empowering Presence: Anybody nearby gains minor bonus strength. Can be turned off. Stacks with normal empowering presence
Necrotic air: Gives you the ability to slowly rot anything you touch. This can be turned off. This also carries over to your solid form's poison.
Enlarge: You go from dog-sized cloud to ogre-sized cloud

Stats will be posted next update. Also, the reason I didn't give you a level up last update is because I think it would have ruined the mood.

Necrotic air sounds useful. Heal and Harm maybe?
