Do you guys really think Oric will accept shenanigans.  The only one I could see possibly working is the magnet boots trick, and that relies on timely spell casting and Oric not having another way of knowing if Riltia is dead or not.  Those options are worse than straight up refusal because Riltia cannot help us until she can get back up.

Wait.....  What if we pushed off the copycat version of Riltia instead.  If we can distract Oric, it stands a chance of succeeding, barring Oric knowing who is alive.  Plus, worst case loss, we lose the cat, which is in our passive party anyways.

Swap Goom-bess for Copy-cat, Distract Oric, Have cat copy Riltia, give orders to go back to underside if possible, toss copy-Riltia off, ???, Profit!

Copycat turning into people is really obvious. I mean, they're big black and shadowy. Oric will almost certainly notice that, even if we distract him.

Uh...Guys? Unless Oric is EXTREMELY color blind, I think he'll notice the fact that the Riltia we just sent over the edge was entirely 100% black, and that the full colour one is standing right next to us.

Oh jesus.

This. This is going places. I don't know if I like where those places are.

Well. Whatever happens now, we have two options with semi-consensus, and both of them equate to throwing the YOLO switch. So I guess I"ll put my vote behind the crazier of the two.

+1 to telling Oric where he can shove his Soul Star.

Bloodshape rope. Tie rope to Riltia. Hold rope. Push Riltia off the ship. Then pull her back up.
Follow Oric's orders and still keep Riltia alive.

+1
Take Riltia and slip her the Magnet Heel secretly. Tell her to use it and push her off so she sticks to the side of the ship.
+1 to obeying letter while violating spirit

Or some way to shut off the magnet boots or otherwise block them from working.  As for rope, I wouldn't put it past him to have some way to cut it, whether by projectile attack or some more-powerful version of the magic negation that we ran into on a previous DL.  I don't think shenanigans will work, either; I just think it'll be funny to tease Oric a bit, and it'll certainly show him just what we think of his ultimatum.

Also, Oric antimagicked an entire DL. What's to say he can't dispel Magnet Heel?

We should not, under any circumstances, put Riltia where she can effortlessly be killed.

-1 to anything that actually puts Riltia outside of the ship.
+1 to telling Oric to shove it
+1 to cheesing by lifting Riltia up

With any luck? We'd be able to invoke the Last Seraphim or something along those lines. I don't think it's a terribly good idea, but if we decide to try it, I have a rhyme:

"Oric, I'm tired of your games. Seraph, strike down this man; Oric is his name!"

I don't think the Last Seraphim will outright assault Oric, since despite the underlying hostilities the angels and Oric seems to be under some alliance.

Well, almost certainly not. However, Newford seems pretty quick to help us, and is presumably under the authority of the LS, so if it sees a chance to take out Oric before he can react, it might take it.

EDIT: For the record, I'm not saying that I support the idea. If it doesn't work, Oric could get pissed, and murder us and/or the Seraphim. If it does work, then it almost certainly won't actually kill Oric because frankly, we'd lose a LOT of narrative direction and while FFS is willing and able to take a lot of unexpected shifts with his stories, but I'd like to see him get out of losing a major villain and the only persistent antagonistic force known to us.

Metagame aside, it's worth a shot if all other options are clearly closed off. However, until then, it doesn't get any support from me.
