Couldn't we just hop down with Riltia?  Technically does exactly what Oric wants, we have the Astral Influx so can switch if we're stuck in Limbo, and Riltia can use her guard ability to guard against taking damage from the fall, while catching us.
This is a good idea, but there are a few problems with it.

Problem #1: We're not 100% sure that jumping off the cliff will bring us to the next floor. Even if it normally would, DL4 might play by different rules, since it's in the sky.
Problem #2: We can barely fight DL4 enemies, let alone DL5 ones.
Problem #3: Ripriver is already upset with us. We don't want to make him even more upset.

Ciro: Go full jackass. Pick Riltia up. When Oric inevitably asks and/or threatens us, state that we technically pushed her up, and off of the Skyship Serebela.

For bonus points, make a bet that we can comply without harming any member of our party, and without separating Riltia from the party, while staying on the Skyship ourselves.

This is a good idea, but there are a few problems with it.

All evidence points to the drop not being a real problem, and even if it is, we have 2 backup plans.
Riltia can fight against DL5 enemies, as she's been running around solo for a while with no real problems.
Do we really care about Ripriver?  Do we care about him more than Riltia and Oric?

Bloodshape rope. Tie rope to Riltia. Hold rope. Push Riltia off the ship. Then pull her back up.
Follow Oric's orders and still keep Riltia alive.

He also, is not likely to prematurely end the cycle; but if he sees that we genuinely care about Riltia, he might deem that potential abnormality as a threat to the Cycles, and kill us.
Minus was uncaring for whatever Past Riltia was called, only using her for the inventory space and dumb fighter strength.
If we care, it's probably an abnormality.
