....huh, so it does. How did I miss that. Well, I retract the staff get plan, but I'm still down for storing the Pence (or if we really think we need pocket change, get the rest of it out so we have some buying power.)

Maybe we should try breaking the staff into useless pieces so we can use them as reagents? Get some kind of Electrowood skill or something.

You do some storage'ing, giving your money to the guard and retrieving Cherish's staff. As you heal Goom-bess with your now-refilled Refresh Potion, Cherish heads over to the Chest. (Knowledge: 17) Unfortunately, her staff isn't long enough to hook it, and it looks to be locked regardless.
