I just used the standard C:DDA name list.

If you can point me to your massive expansion, I can just rerun my script with them added.

I'll see what I can come up with for world names.

Ah no, I PR'd that list a long time ago. What you have now in C:DDA is that. Good to know then. ^_^

Oh, PR stands for pull request!  That reminds me that I can contribute code.  I guess it's time for a city name generator.  (The game has only ±1000 city names, but ±20000 world names, so I assume you meant cities.)

Yes, I meant cities. World names are plenty. :)

Though having an actual generator for either or both of those, a-la DF's, would be pretty neat too. ^_^

Playing a Brin experimental. Slightly dismayed at the long(er) chain of steps it takes to make a fur coat now.

I also noticed that crafting fails a lot more now. At the required level before, I could make something almost without worry of failure. Now, I went through three times the material due to total failures.

"Michael "Dies Horribly" Jones"
Guess how he died
((Spoiler: spawned in a gunstore, right in front was a blockade with a tank bot.))

Is it possible to open "display cases" without noisily smashing them? I found some totally sweet swords in this antique store I'm raiding, but I'd like to get them silently if at all possible.

Only thing I can think of is to throw stuff to smash them from afar and then come and collect them after the zeds have wandered away. That, or use a radio to attract the zeds further away and hide the noise of the smashing.

Yeah, those whole point of such things is to keep things in. The cases probably have some sort of electric lock that when lights went out the cases locked down tight.

The raid was a success. The kris turned out to be a cheap replica, but the nodachi was genuine. The zombies heard me, but only a few managed to find me in the dark, and my huge, curved, two-handed sword made short work of them.
Can I name weapons in this game? I want to give my giant weeaboo blade a proper title.

You can use a knife to engrave something on them.

Or a marker. Spray cans are only for the ground tho.

Yeah, but who wants to name his zombie-blood-drenched-katana with a marker?

I died again. There was a mysterious drop under the stairs in Bobington's starting shelter. Of course I told him to jump down and investigate.

Someone replaced my basement with a river of magma.

I found that once, not sure why it's there.
