I wouldn't turn the NPC off even if they're still buggy, they really add a touch of insanity in the game that is rather hilarious at time.

During that game, a world (not shelter) NPC simply saw a bear at some distance and for some reason decided he was going to punch (as he had no weapon) the animal to death and ran straight to the bear location, and of course it really didn't turned very well for that berserking NPC against the bear that wasn't even threatening anyone.

That's not something you see with NPC turned off :D

good new : having killed the game with ALT+F4 didn't made an automatic save, so i could relaunch then load from a day before it happened.
Will have to get that lighter from that NPC now :)

One of my characters stepped out of a shelter to see an NPC waste 50 rounds firing a SMG at a squirrel, then punch a deer in the face for a half hour before the deer killed him/her. It was dwarven....

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.

When I see some NPC crazyness I like to think they are on some kind of supreme drugs.

Steve: Duuuuuuuude dude dude dudedude...... I'm gunna punch that bear over there.
Joe: Dude I don't think that's a good idea man.
Steve:It's allright, me and the bear are cool he'll just laugh it off.  Hey bear! *punches bear with a matchbook*.
Bear: *Roar*
Joe: I told ya he wouldn't like that dude.  Hey dude this lighter tastes like sounds! Try some!

Got a crash. I was using a Filter with 'V' to try and find a blanket I'd picked up and the game just exited out.

*sigh* So much time spend hauling things to my new safe house...I was going to save before I slept for the night.

Ran into a bug, after a couple more days the 2 NPC that started in the shelter with me decided to move on their own into the town i was bust clearing, probably running after some harmless prey.

I joined them to help them survive there (as i had a mission from one of them) and at some point the game just became stuck there , while i was busy cooking with my frying pan some bear meat on a bush i fired with some matchbooks :


Pressing the space bar didn't do anything to unstuck the game
The debug log was full of this

Yeah but then it disable tileset, i saw one guy on 'let's play' switching tilesets from the new one to old

A question about funnel and clean water.

So when i put down a bottle and use a funnel on top of it during rain, i can get a bottle of water after waiting enough, but that's not clean water so there's still a chance it does something very bad when drinking.

Then i move near a fire , press the &  key for the craft menu, move to the drink tab, and at the clean water section, i have 1 of every category required (a fire, a frying pan and a water) .
It has worked for 2 "bottles of water" that i managed to get as "bottle of clean water", but for my 3rd one it does not work, i keep getting "you can't mix loads in your plastic bottle of water".

Is there something i'm missing ?

You need more containers to store it. Just that. The game is telling you that you had a full water bottle before crafting, and after you have a half-filled water bottle and a bunch of clean water that you can't pour in it.

Blargh lighter eating NPC's when im trying to sleep is annoying. Lot's of spacebars needed to get through that :/

Next time I just press ~ to toggle debug messages off, that should stop it....I think...
