My earthbound deck is worse then I thought since changing the field kills them I guess since it counts as not having a field for that split sec so they die hmm maybe I'll make a deck that uses The Creator God of Light, Horakhty.

Yeah but that what makes it fun.
Made it, It work by making cards in my deck go to the graveyard and then summoning  Obelisk the Tormentor and Slifer the Sky Dragon from there and using cheap card to bring out Ra.

Good (not imo but meh) thing they still allow one Black Hole per deck.

That requires like, what, 7 or 8 cards to pull off?  With Horakhty a completely dead card unless you can get that specific combo.  And then once you've got them all on the field you should be able to win without her .  I guess it is a fun wincon though.

Black Hole is probably the most no-brainer card in the entire game.  The only deck I've ever run without it was the all-monster one (that was fun, maybe I'll try rebooting it).

Let us try and compile a list of some of the best cards that can be used in any deck.

Black Hole (obvious)
Heavy Storm (not quite as good but almost; works on a similar principle)
MST (again, obvious)
Mirror Force
Trap Hole / Bottomless Trap Hole

This embarasses me as I've realised (potentially as a subconcious effort to not be cheap?!? I doubt it) that my deck is missing a Heavy Storm, and only has 1 Mirror Force

Trap Hole isn't anything special since it can't hit special summons.  Bottomless is decent, although it and Mirror Force both suffer from not being chainable and thus being vulnerable to being blown up.

Dark Bribe is good in certain decks that rely on defending specific continuous cards, but in general it loses you card advantage which is a bad thing.  Not sure what advantages Space Tornado is meant to have over MST.

Assuming they aren't banned yet I'd add Solemn Judgment and Monster Reborn.  They are both good in almost every situation.

Definitely agree with monster reborn - when I used to play apparently it was banned, so by instinct I haven't used it in my deck (yet another thing to change.)

In matches against darkflagrance I noticed Game Controller was also pretty useful when I actually got a monster power advantage - he'd swap his crappy monster for my better one, which he then tributed to summon something I could no longer counter.
