Name: Lori Immitis
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: 172 cm in stature. She has striking black hair, tied back, and eyes, and her normal expression seems to be slightly challenging. Her body is only slightly muscular, even though she has roughly the same amount of practice as most other members of the Guard. She is usually in armor, as being a Guard is often a day-up to sun-down job, and when she is off-duty, she prefers to stay away from the public streets. Her way of speaking tells you that she isn't a common foot soldier, and she sometimes uses formal terms while talking outside of such an environment. A hypothetical observer would notice that she is as at ease with the spear as she is with a pen.

Bio: She is from a lawyer family, between three sons and two daughters. She is the third-born, and the first daughter. From her youth, despite the fact that she had slim chances of either being able to get a position in the Senate or striking out as a lawyer, her parents still tutored her in the fine art of speech in the Senate and the law of the Empire alongside her brothers. When she was in her middling teens, a certain wealthy family contacted Lori's and offered to take her in to help their son, who was rising to a high position in the Emperor's personal guard but was lacking in some political skills that couldn't be learned without making time investments that were not possible. The offer was embraced wholeheartedly, and she was accepted by the Praetorian Guard as a special case. She was tutored in legislation and law while receiving a slower, easier version of basic training, and after the bulk of the study was behind her, the training she got was slowly increased until it roughly equaled that of the common soldier's. Her tasks are to be a member of the Guard, and to accompany the head of the Guard on his forays into the humanoid jungle that is the Senate.

dragor, i'm all for immersion and roleplaying, but this letter is overdoing it. change the font to latin, its unreadable.

kestrel,i suspect there is a reason you were not approved. This is only my personal opinion, but as it stands now you want to play a character that will not have many politically important interactions with others and RP will be lacking. Also, even though our  GMs are as active as humanely possible, there are limits and they will have a hard time integrating your character into the game which is essentially about politics and warfare. You did stuff last time but your interaction with others were non-existent because you were not doing anythin that would warrant contact with you. We don't need assasins, and assasinations are mostly doen as paid action by politicans, not a quest actions. With addition of gang warfare and city control you might be potentially useful, but this is only my opinion.

Also, you should come along to IRC more often and talk to us about stuff. We are more likely to interact with you if we have real-time contact . Same goes to everyone playing the game - go on our IRC channel whenever possible and talk to us. Lot of actions, letters and decisions and even private talks among PCs are done there, with GM oversight of course.

Ardas, it is greek; thatkid mockingly told Dragor he'd give him a +3 circumstance bonus to the roll if Dragor used greek in the letter and Dragor went with it for the sake of the joke.

Guys, I'm having doubts about this game. I'm sick of OOC bitching that routinely happens every single game, every week or so for some unfanthomable reason because one person hates one detail. Unless we sort our shit right, there is no point in pushing through with this game.

While I appreciate the benefit of collegial way of doing things, it does not work when we have so many elements unsorted, personal preferences and ideas alongside with personal tastes that clash almost constantly.

We have GMs for a reason, I am more than happy to give up my vote on all OOC matters if arguing is cut down and GM starts making final decisions on stuff. I'm not interested in wasting my time in IRC on shit like "what colour should our fictional soldeirs have" or " I hate xyz, you should not do it." We are losing this game and its hard to put spirit back in if you taint it with bickering.

See even the guy that totally got played last game so badly that we now have a youtube video about his rage is calling you all a bunch of whiny bitches. There's a reason i'm playing a character the way I am - it allows me to avoid you bastards when i want to and still act.

The uniform color thing was so purely absurd i almost died laughing though...seriously, you guys are the kind of people that will nuke an entire city because a road was laid slightly crooked. It's funny sometimes, other times it's like watching my 5yr old step-daughter argue that grass is purple simply because some jackass painted his lawn to support a sports team.

The obscene bitching was one of the reasons I ducked out on YaK3 as a GM - some of you killed the fun. When you're in charge of killing the players, and that's not fun anymore - Shit's gone wrong.
