Eridan summons his wand of science favorable winds, a token of favor from his god. The will of Xarxas propels his ships through the waves.

Eridan himself boards an impromptu fleet of exploration ships cobbled together from idle fishing boats. He will search for nearby islands and introduce them to his people, trying to expand trade.

His peasants construct a barracks (infrastructure) for the soldiers who currently sit idle.
(are you a homestuck reader Rhyme? It might be a coincidence, but a character named Eridan with a wand from outside the universe? Too good to be true.)

Most people's relationship with Dwarf Fortress is akin to Stockholm Syndrome.
Dwarf Fortress doesn't mean to do it... I just can't behave sometimes so it has to correct me.
