Get into cover and then get your hunting rifle out: aim at the aggression of someone who needs back up.
Anya dives into cover behind wooden crates facing the way which the cherub was leading them and draws her hunting rifle.
And so she used her sword to cut down or stagger - with the latter taking priority if the enemy was clustered near her and too close for comfort - any thug nearby.
Mira draws her sword and attacks one of the thugs. He doesn't see the attack coming and the blade leaves a deep cut in his left arm. He backs up in surprise but readies his club and attacks. He swings under your guard but the impact is absorbed by your armour.
Get between Alba and enemies, quick draw shotgun and shoot the thug that attacked the tech-priest, Point-Blank. If he's already done with, fire at one of the thugs with weapons.
Oh, and avoid shooting anyone with an ally already engaged in melee or nearby.
You push Alba roughly back before the Thug can attack again, pulling your shotgun from your shoulder as you do. You shoot him in the chest at point blank range. He's not getting back up.
A thug on the destination-end of the alley sees Roth aiming at him and fires off a shot. The bullet goes wide and impacts with the stone wall behind her.

-]Round 2[-The Acolytes are now boxed in to the middle of the alley. For cover, the group has wooden crates on the side they want to go and metal crates next to a raised stairway on the side they came from. They are being attacked by lightly armed thugs from both sides.
Open fire with my rifle, target the thugs with guns first, then those with knives, laugh happily
You try to fire your lasgun at your assailant but are unable to make room, instead hitting him in the gut with the butt of your rifle. The thug looks hurt but not out.
He swings his metal-banded club again, hitting you in the body.
Hard.. You hear something in your chest crack and the pain that wells up causes you to lose consciousness.
The uncertain thug sees the Guardsman go down and dives into cover, drawing a Stub Automatic.
>Point my laspistol at the closest attacker.
"BACK THE HELL OFF OR YOU ALL DIE!"

The combination of the corpse at his feet and the duo of laspistols, no matter how small, ensures that no Thugs feel like assaulting the pair. Shooting is safer.
You think so too.
You fire a shot at one of the gunmen. Just as before, the thug falls to the ground, his flesh audibly sizzling and smoke rising from his singed clothing.
Get behind some heavy cover, preferably a wall. Wait them out. If none are available, rush in there and whack at their torsos.
Lyssian takes cover behind one of the two raised stairways in the alley.

After Allion, you too fire your laspistol. It hits another gunman in the left leg. He grunts in pain but still fights on.
>Try and work out if that alley is the same one my companions are in.
>If not, head down the street and try to find the exit point where the cherubim is presumably headed towards.
>Keep my pistol out, but pressed down to one side against my leg, hopefully keeping it out of sight as I hurry along.
Hurk keeps walks towards the other alley. The crowd has been steadily dispersing since the gunfire began and, while his comparatively clean clothes did draw an eye or two, his Autopistol remained unseen. A quick glance down the alley shows that it opens onto the street the cherub was leading you to so you dart off down the alley.
"Lies! Lies and falsities!"The madman emerges from a side alley. He's got a knife.
