Aye, you have a problem with that? If you're going to bring up rape stats for women, you'll have to ignore murder/assault stats for men. If you're going to bring up unequal pay for women, you'll have to ignore longer work hours and more job related deaths for men. If you're going to bring up third world countries, then yeah, I was referring to western democracies with healthy male-female ratio.

Edit: I only have stats for my own country, but I would guess they apply elsewhere pretty much the same.

That being said, I don't think a forum composed mostly of men has the Quendar to make judgements about women's issues.

The original discussion was (hopefully?) one of observation and theorization, which has now unfortunately been brushed aside into moral judgements of presumed truths that we are unable to prove axiomically or via experience.

Sure, I'd defend feminism in any country in which women don't have a right to vote (Edit: Or in any democratic country with perverted male-female ratio.. say.. future china?). In western democracies it falls into conspiratorial and/or victimization territory.

I don't want to jump on anybody but let me get this straight: Give women right to vote and we are all equal, is that what you are saying? Let's talk about Saudi Arabia, women are given the first chance to vote already. So, that makes everything fine I suppose.
