A woman in Toronto was killed when a gust of wind dislodged a street sign and launched it at her head.

Of the ways to go, that's got to be one of the worst D: Especially if she saw it coming.

Well...  a street sign moving at +70? mph may be a bit hard to... see in time.  And she would have had to be facing toward the wind blowing at her face to have a chance at seeing the street sign come at her.  Also, I don't believe many people have good survival reflexes...  maybe.

Great god. Explosions happening are stripping Manhatten of power. Jesus. Up to what, 300,000 people? have lost power. Reported.

I'm using this if you are curious.

The east river breached the sandbags. The Transit system is flooding. Trains may be out for a week or more. I am running out of words here. I am NOT going to have power when I wake up am I? Least the korean place next door stays open. Will still be able to get chips.

Transformer exploded, the low light made it look worse than it was, but that isn't saying a whole lot.
