Only one objection. We have only 12 breathing apparati. So we can only send 12 men untill we have a way to get them back.

I'd wait with sending the mining equipment till the lifesupport is Up and running. Before that it'll mostly be useless anyway.

It depends on how long it takes to build the life support building.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

The telepad takes a couple of hours to erect, I expect something similair for the lifesupport.

Meanwhile, humans can only survive for 15-30 minutes outside, I believe.

Without breathers, yeah. So only ten to twelve peole go into the cavern then.

This is pretty much correct. Small buildings all take a couple of hours to assemble and you're not getting anything set up without a source of air.

Alright, then:

> Teleport 15 men down into the cavern along with a teleport pad
> Then have the men assemble the teleport pad
> Teleport a life support building and some more men into the cavern
> Assemble LS building
> Profit
Without further delay, you decide to send some men off to breach the cavern and erect a teleporter there- then you can really get started! You speak to Darric as soon as he returns. "Darric! It is time to strike the earth!" You declare, with a flourish. "You and some men will teleport in to the cavern with a teleport pad, and then we can-" You stop speaking as Darric's face folds up like a wet towel in an oven. "Putnam- sir- we can't teleport unless there's a teleport pad already there." You tell Darric to just take a truck and get on with it.

Darric leaves the ship with nine other men, all wearing breathers and equipped with digging tools, and a truck with a disassembled teleport pad. This just leaves two men with breathers (Beigarth and another) guarding the ship and the rest of them frequently ducking inside for fresh air.

You stay in radio contact with Darric. He arrives at the surface above the cavity, and his men start drilling. Berkhardt is also monitoring their progress on the ship's geoscanner- he remarks that it's very peculiar to have a cavern so directly underneath the surrounding terrain, which is apparently just rocky plains. Darric informs you that his men are making steady progress, just sbout 25 minutes more and they'll be ready to climb in. Then he says, "By the way, we just collapsed part of the roof. Nobody got hurt but... truck's gonna need some repairs. We'll start building the teleporter right away."

As you're breathing a sigh of relief that nobody had decided to take a nap under the truck or something (crawler crew lackeys aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer), you get another message over the radio, this time from Beigarth. "We have a man down- get to medical!" You rush to the medical lab on the crew deck to see Beigarth hauling a limp man over his shoulders, like a sack of potatoes. Beigarth dumps the man on the table and tells you, "He's poisoned. There's a sting on his ankle. Not a bite, a sting- I doubt it was one of the spiders we saw earlier. I'll start examining him but I'm not sure what I can do. If I do find a compound that can help though, I'll need to manufacture it."

Your objectives, currently:
-Establish operations in the cavern.
-Deal with the wounded guy
-Consider beginning repairs on the ship- just designate a number of crew to work
-Remember to specify numbers of men and equipment for expeditions

The one wounded guy is already aboard. You have 20 men (ten with laser pistols and ten with stun pistols) patrolling the perimeter of the ship, because that's all the guns you have. If you're bent on getting pressure suits then you'll be able to once you have some power for the manufacturing facility. Pressure suits are mostly just good for spacewalks though. You might inquire about other things your crew can wear, however.

We don't need pressure suits. Breathing apparatus is fine.
Otherwise:
Order medical personnel to check on the wounded guy. Try to synthesise a vaccine.
Team in cavern assemble teleporter, then we send down life support, along with one or two laser pistols.
On board the ship:
20 men fully repair the life support.
20 men repair factory.
18-19 men patrol( as laser pistols have been sent down)

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

I believe the manufactory thing we have on-board can build small items right now? If so build as many as possible.

> Build breathing apparatus
> Drill into the cavern
> Deploy telepad
> Teleport life support building
> Assemble LS building

We can't do either untill we get some minerals, and energy crystals. So no extra breathing apparati or pressure suits. Or repairs. Unless we want to recycle something, which I don't like doing right now.

I propose we send the digger outside, and have it do some digging. Drilling an easy way into the cavern is a first priority, and then maybe some first rock samples. While we have a teleporter, I'm not sure if we can use it for full time mineral transport. Besides, having a way into and out of the cavern without crashing through the ceiling is usefull.

You can indeed use the teleporter for full time transport. You could engineer a clean path to the surface, but it would be pretty laborious.

Medical/Security-
Have 10 men patrol around with ship with stun guns. Have them shoot any small creatures they come by and take them to Medical bay to be studied. (10/100)
Have 10 more men patrol normally.                                                                                                                                                           (20/100)

((I hereby decree the mining site is now call Outpost Alpha))
Outpost Alpha-
Have the 15 men assemble the teleport pad and return to the ship to rest.                                                                                                       (35/100)
Send 15 fresh men into the cavern to continue scouting/scanning.                                                                                                                  (50/100)
Have 5 more fix the truck and return it to the ship.                                                                                                                                      (55/100)
Have 20 men with 20 shovels begin clearing any rubble inside the cavern in preparation to set up larger buildings                                                     (75/100)

Repairs-
Have 15 men repair the life support systems. they seem to be only moderately damaged.                                                                                    (90/100)
Have 9 men repair the Short-ranged comms.                                                                                                                                               (99/100)

Have the sick guy be sick                                                                                                                                                                             (100/100)

If any extra persons finish their jobs before everyone is, have up to 10 train. afterall, reinforsements are a good thing.
