A number of salient options for your next adventuring decision:

Locate the drow, and attempt to secure their aid. Estimated Difficulty: Hard

The dwarves have brought an ancient map to your attention. Far to the southwest lies the Sea of Dust. Allegedly, an Ancient Wizard named Martek possesed a wonderous tool known as the Sphere of Power. With it, he could evoke magics of immense power. Three gems are said to be the keys to his tomb, and these gems have been recovered at great expense 56 years ago. Estimated Difficulty: Extreme

Secure the Aid of the nomads of the western plains and Burneal Forest. Estimated difficulty: Medium

Explore the Marshlands, and attempt to secure trease from the lands once walked by Iuz the Evil, a fiendish Demigod struck down over 600 years ago. Estimated Difficulty: Hard

Or, if you would like to formulate your own plan, I will be happy to assist you and supply names of decent locations.

I like that the options are Hard, Extreme, Medium, or Hard. I'd vote for either Hard option, preferably the Drow, but the Extreme option sounds like it would pay off the difficulty with an exceptionally good reward.

Edit: Note, my vote is for 1 or 2. Whichever is winning. >.>

1. Not worth it, from Drak's POV.

2. I think Drakruldus is slowly realizing that his group can do the impossible, but he'd still rather gather lore and artifacts (ie XP and loot) first.

3. Not much to say.

4. A bit...ominous.

Drak's vote would be for the nomads.

Obviously, number two is the correct choice.

Yeah, going for option one here. No-where near a dead wizard for one. We can go nab that one later, when we aren't as likely to be disintergrate.

On the other hand, it's making us surrounded by one of the most murderous, sadistic, and generally amoral races known to man, let alone kobold or other subterranean races...

They aren't amoral. It's just theirs aren't exactly "Good".

Besides, you have a someone who knows the way around the place as well.

IMmoral, then.

And we have a half-celestial paladin and a silver-dragonwrought kobold with a grudge against drow as well. Not to mention the others of races drow often enslave...

Asraen is Chaotic Good. They might appreciate his approach if not his goals. He also has no particular grudge against Dark Elves, as I believe this world is similar to Eberron in that racial alignments don't quite apply. Also, Asraen can have vague dealings with the Drow as long as such a thing promotes good in the long term at the very least. Since the Far Realms destroying the entire Material Plane would be... The end of all good (and all evil), it is in everyone's best interests to work together. Asraen sees this, despite his affected disdain for the Far Realms opponent's they've faced up until now.

I still can't really imagine the drow being thrilled about working with someone who's going to stop their favorite after-battle passtimes.

Besides, I'm voting as Drak would, and the only drow Drak can stand at all is Raiss.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
