Having expelled the Russian ambassador and diplomatic staff, you send Putin a letter containing an ultimatum. Either he stops touching China and backs down, or consequences will never be the same.
He replies back saying he'll "think about it". As a further gesture of will, you send your now quite formidable Pacific fleet to patrol near the Russian coasts. The Japanese offer to let the fleet rebase in Hokkaidō as a gesture of good will.
You send a message to the Americans telling them about the various types of terrorists that the very suspiciously communistic Russians have been supporting, and you tell them you have proof.
They reply that this is a very serious allegation, and arrange a meeting for you to meet with the President about this.
In other news, an emergency report from our Cambodia research station states that though they have managed to capture one of the creatures, it got loose in the building and massacred nearly everyone. According to the research assistant, Gordon [unintelligible], "the beast is still here... so many of them... where are they coming from... please help..." A rescue and capture mission is planned for the next month.
