It's about 75% out of my own pocket and 25% donated copies from devs. I Allow myself about $100/month for games(I do some work for the industry so I call it research) and if I don't spend it on myself I use it to buy copies of games to giveaway. Sometimes I will hold off on buying a game I am interested in so that I can do a giveaway instead(that's what I did for the Xcom giveaway I just did. I won't get Carrier Command for a while now).

Philanthropy is my hobby and it keeps me sane. I am a member of many communities but this is the one I feel most attached to, so it get's my focus. I hope that answers your question.

That is pretty awesome of you. Maybe I should run one of these one day. I have enough cash to spare to give away a game every once in a while.

I think you will find it to be very rewarding. Generosity is a hell of a drug.

Well, I do tend to gift a hell of a lot of games. You can tell who talks to me the most on my friend's list by how many games they have is the thing XD.

Just thought I might as well do something with the community here. Give a little. I know I met some great people here.

I'm getting mental images of you sending off a game to someone and then sitting back in your chair with a gasp as the effects sink in. A few hours later you snap out of it, red eyed, hung over, and wondering why you're sitting in a pile of Skittles.

Same here. Good work.

And it's also nice to hear how these giveaways can keep going without you breaking your bank. If your bank ever does break, then lets hope it's because its like a hi-score board, and it just goes over the limit, and you've got smileys and other random characters and colors to make up your score instead of numbers; it's that freaking high. You deserve it.
