Operation Dagger Heard Round the World is revised as follows:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Step 1: The 10 armies currently at U-58 move to T-59, with one carrying my newly forged steel dagger. The one carrying the dagger attacks the dragon. The next ten steal the dagger and then also attack the dragon. The 11th takes the dagger (and any other available loot, if the dragon dies) and returns to U-58 with it.
Step 2: The 10 armies currently at CC-36 move to DD-37, with one carrying my newly forged steel dagger. The one carrying the dagger attacks the roc. The next ten steal the dagger and then also attack the roc. The 11th takes the dagger (any any other available loot, if the roc dies) and returns to CC-36 with it.
Step 3: The 10 armies currently at CC-27 move to DD-27, with one carrying my newly forged steel dagger. The one carrying the dagger attacks the ent king. The next ten steal the dagger and then also attack the ent king. The 11th takes the dagger (any any other available loot, if the ent king dies) and returns to CC-27 with it.
Because the Ent does not keep a hoard, the dagger was lost after the first failure.

Goings on4 Human farms attacked by Dragon. 1 Dwarven Mithril mine is destroyed by the Dragon. 1 Halfling forge destroyed by Dragon.
Fle'k Bre'n spasms and swings his massive sword in wide arcs, killing dozens of Humans with each swipe. Even so, the numbers are simply too large. Eventually, for every squad of Humans he destroys, two more arrive in their stead. The Balrog suffers millions of entirely ineffective blows, but occasionally a pitchfork or ax will penetrate his molten armor, doing minor damage. Enough of these minor lucky attacks have filled Fle'k Bre'n's exoskeleton with holes, and his fiery life essence leaks out. The battle lasts so long that the Balrog simply loses his life force and disintegrates, leaving behind only a giant pile of untouchable hot soot. The very few survivors do not celebrate. They do not congratulate themselves. Their souls were lost long ago, and the Balrog's defeat means no more or less to them than if he were to crush the whole Human empire. Only four battered squads remain, roughly ten percent of the initial force. Piles of bodies tower over the burning and stinking (but still preserved) forest. Onward from atop the mountain to the southwest, Fle'k Mreth watches on as he kills nearly an equal number of Humans to his brother. A magical swell of anger manifests in his chest, filling him with even more blood lust than he had before.
