Descriptions of some common FATE game mechanics and how they'll be implemented lie below, but if I get this from all five (six?) players, ...

Hey, you remember when Apples never posted for her character and the next person got into the game?

Neither do I. That is a thing now.

EDIT: WELL SINCE YOU NINJA'D ME WITH THINGS I WAS GOING TO USE~

Pick three skills your character would be AVERAGE at. Computer use, Stargazing, Running
Pick two skills your character would be FAIR at. Exploration. Blunt weaponry.
Pick two ASPECTS or defining traits of your character. Closely attuned to the stars, Mindset: Magic is merely physics that isn't understood. ([Touched by the green light.] If you an see this you use darkling. IGNORE ME!)

Remember that aspects are better the less generic they are. They're not traits, they're descriptions.

I still need Achim and Andrew's stuff, but I figured I'd get this out of the way.

Act Zero:
The Beginning of Something Really Special! []

Spoiler: 3...2...1... (click to show/hide)

>Sirius: What?

You look behind yourself just in time to see a flash of green light. Lowering your arms from your face, you notice that on your desk lies two green disc flaps, each labeled "SUBURB."

What will you do?

>Everyone else's server/client: finish installing.

We simply do not have time for all this waiting around! The current connections are Achim->Johnathan and Jack->Penny. Andrew sees a PERFECTLY GENERIC OBJECT fly at his bookshelf from nowhere and appease Smokey the Bear.

TB: Piss around mindlessly with controls. That is, after all, the best way to learn how things work.

(Hacking [Fair] +0 vs. ? ? ?) You piss around with the controls for a bit. After a moment, a large tube with a rectangular base and a spirograph insignia on top is dropped right next to the girl in the viewport.

"What in the everloving hell."

See if discs are real. Attempt to wake self from dream.

After poking around for a bit, you determine the discs are, without a doubt, absolutely real. So real that you can touch them, taste them, even smell them. Not saying you did these, just that you can.

Attempt to see if mysterious person is online.

Nope, definitely not online. It's like a hit and run, but the damage is a magic adware. Some of the others might make it online soon, though...

Sirius frowns and glances back at the envelopes. "Dammit... one of these guys better have an answer." He rubs his forehead. "I am entirely too sober for this. To the fridge!"

To the fridge! Mentally examine my dwelling place as I do so for bugs. How DID that guy know what my place looked like?

Jonathan was stunned for a while, how were his things being moved around, fires being started, and most of all he didn't have a clue if this was magic or if it was a dream! This was a serious situation!

Three skills your character would be AVERAGE at: Persuasion, Tactics, Farming
Two skills your character would be FAIR at: Literature, Logic-ing
Two ASPECTS or defining traits of your character: Know-it-all, Protege of Ben Yahtzee Croshaw (Also known as pretty damned cynical)

It was a mistake, no cube for you :P Start pestering!

Panic, and try not to lose it!

You flip out so hard you go all the way around and flip back in. Crisis averted.

WHO KNOWS?? Oh, right, the bugs. After grabbing a decent wine, you look around for any sort of spying implements. (Exploration [Mediocre] vs. ? ? ?) No bugs in sight, though. Maybe the dude had a telescope of his own? Clearly this is now a war of telescopes.
