Sir Havel the Unyielding
Stealthily creeping around the lake, Sir Havel and the young man eventually get close enough to spy on the individuals while avoiding detection. From the looks of it, there are nine people circled around the fire, all of them either teenagers or young adults.
One of them is standing and preaching to the others, while everyone else listens quietly as they sip some unknown liquid from a small bowl being passed around the circle.
"...
your whole lives, you have all been hindered, doubted, and mistreated. Well tonight, my brave and loyal brothers and sisters, all of that comes to an end. It is time to release yourselves from the shackles of other peoples' doubts and mistreatment, to embrace all that you are, and all that you shall become!"
Curious about just what it is he is witnessing, Sir Havel turns to the young man for answers...
"I'm not sure, all I know is that it's some kind of official acceptance thing...which, thanks to
someone, I wasn't exactly invited to..." the young man whispers, glaring up at the Chosen One. "Seriously, set me down now."
Hisir Namedene
Desiring greater control over the dark and enigmatic powers of the shadows, Hisir looks for an acceptably shady area to practice harnessing its very essence. Luckily for the Chosen One, the fact that the surrounding trees of his forest haven provide decent cover from the Sun means that he does not have to look very hard.
Hisir does very well on his first attempt; in only a matter of minutes, he can feel the energy of the shadows themselves forming and condensing in his grasp. Unfortunately, the chirping of a nearby bird breaks his focus, and the shadow essence quickly dissipates into the air.
Jorn Darkmane
Jorn informs the boggart that it shall only be released once it swears to serve him. The boggart frantically nods in agreement, and Jorn breaks the magical barrier confining it. He then orders it to climb into the treetops to get a better view of the landscape, and it hastily obeys.
After waiting for several minutes for the Boggart to come back down from the tree, the Chosen One begins to worry that the creature may have escaped. This worry is soon put to rest, however, when a small dead branch thrown from above strikes him in the head.
The Moderator(s)
"How very generous of you. Of course, that alone would not be enough to warrant your release. Not to mention, we currently have some reservations about letting you near any such systems at this time."
Other-Moderator"And we plan to. As soon as you disclose the location of all other advanced technology you have knowledge of, and we can confirm that you are not lying to us, you will both be released from your rooms to assist our specialists in its study."
Estimated time passed: 15 minutes.
23:35 remain.
