Yea, although I saw someone apologize just a couple of days ago that they couldn't be bothered to read the thread. His response was about the 10th in the thread, so still on the first page. At least he was up front and honest about it.

I know it's inaccurate, but the idea I get of people who say they can't be bothered to read something (assuming it's of reasonable length) is something like:
"What's that? Raedin? Naw, I don't bother with none of that city learnin'. I aint learnt my letters never in all my life, and sho' 'nuff I hain't needed it neither!"

I might have a problem - the eggs aren't hatching.  I've locked the female dragon away so she isn't interrupted, I've added: [CHILD:1][GENERAL_CHILD_NAME:dragon hatchling:dragon hatchlings] to the raws for this region (saves/region3/raw/objects/creature_standard.txt), but she's just sitting there.  It's been a full year, her training has almost expired, and still no hatchlings.  I can see "Dragon Egg [2]" in the Nest Box, so I know the eggs have been laid.  They're just not hatching.

Although she may have been yanked while you weren't looking to be retrained unless you sealed her in before she laid the eggs.

I sealed her in - she hasn't been trained since the eggs were laid.  I'm thinking about deconstructing the nest box, destroying the eggs, retraining her, then rebuilding the box and locking her in again.

Random thought - is there an upper limit on the number of animals a fort can have?  Because I've got a cage with about a hundred alligators in it, another full of wolverines, another full of wolves, another full of war dogs, and a Giant War Leopard breeding program as well.  Should I just start butchering my dogs to see if that helps?

There is a cap of about 200 animals per fort I believe.

Im not sure what influences hatching time so there might be other external factors.

... yeah, I'm waaaaaaay over that limit.  That explains a lot.

On the upside, I have a quick and simple way to drop my animal population significantly - feed them all to the circus!

After a brief moment of sanity, I decided to do just that.  Ordering the mass-slaughter of the dogs as we speak.

No, you just go into the data/save/region# folder, and change those raws.  Also, I don't think dragons ever stop growing, but it's probably a good idea to shorten the age, even if it's still an unreasonable number.  If you put the maturation age to half, they will grow twice as fast.  Also, the egg size influences the speed they will hatch at.

EDIT: Wow, somehow I was missing the fourth page when I posted this.  Anyway, Dragon eggs are huge, larger than cave dragons, so it'll probably take some time.

Also - and this is unconfirmed - but sometimes if eggs get selected for cooking, I think they end up not getting hatched - unsure of this. I usually just make them relay the eggs.
