I'm trying to install the mods, but it's not working. It's as if the mods aren't installed at all.

E: Nvm, looks like it's solved.

Except that i don't have the server IP. Could you PM it to me?

For some reason, there was a line in my hosts folder with a session.minecraft.net line in it. I have a feeling it was a fix for another problem I had ages ago.
Well now it works, excellent.

I also got the graphics mod to work (eventually). Holy crap it looks awesome, but it also now runs at 13 FPS.

Also, are we supposed to be able to change our movement speed like that? I can rocket around at 500+% movement speed.

Will be fixed soon, no you shouldn't be able to. To be honest I don't know why that is a default option.

I found about 12 within the first hour of playing, so I doubt they're rarer.

Optifine is compatible, just not included.

Nothing in the pack would make diamonds rarer than normal, just bad luck I guess.

   If you want diamonds then you need to make sure of a couple things. 1 that you are deep enough, and 2 that you are far enough away from where other people have found diamonds as they generally only appear something like once a chunk or what have you so if you just used for instance my mine at the bottom end of the ravine you won't find many as I already found 2 deposits.
