East vs. West: Cancelled
« on: July 04, 2012, 01:03:01 am »

Oh. Mah. Gawd.

I have been waiting for this day for a while now. I knew they'd finally fill that last timeframe eventually.

Paradox? Cold War? Hearts of Iron?

This pleases me. I can't wait to push that big red button. Played the shit out of Supreme Ruler: Cold War even if it was an extremely flawed game.

Its not in house paradox, but done by the HOI:AoD people, but using the more modern engine. By some peoples standards that's even better i guess :P

The setting will be interesting but I will probably stick to reading some AAR's of it. I just have not been able to get into a paradox grand strategy game since the first Victoria. I don't know I just never managed to learn how to play one after that one :p

That's the exact opposite from me. Victoria was the ONLY paradox game I could not get in to because I never managed to learn how to play it:-)

I like the era. Still waiting for Hearts of Iron 3 Complete to be on massive discount though. :P

Feels like this could go either way, I mean hoi3 need kind of a lot of stuff not to simply be a war to the death since there's little else you can do. Will be interesting to see how things turn out.

Reagan is out of the scene as quickly as possible. Perhaps to the front lines.

I am eagerly awaiting this. Though, I wished they hadn't announced it so early. Now I'll have to wait for at least a year.  :(

I hope it's not just HOI3 with a ww3 nuke simulator, they need to have some kind of in depth political and economic system. And, PROXY WARS! It should be your ultimate goal not to start ww3 (although it should definitely be possible, and a post-nuclear holocaust world would be interesting)! I'm pretty confident Paradox won't fuck it up though.
