Actually, I take back praseodymium being hard to remember. It's found in prases, gems which all DF players should know well, and it follows the "xodymium" pattern at least one other rare earth (neodymium) has.

No, sodium. Sodium salts are the shit.

Americium, for obvious reasons.

More seriously, hydrogen is neato. It's apparently all you need to create humans, given billions of years.

Bromine. Because it has "bro" in it.

Bromine. Because it has "bro" in it.
Bromine is also one of only two elements to be liquid in their standard form. It is highly corrosive to human flesh.

The other is Mercury. It will poison and blind you.

Liquid elements are no fun.
I think we all know the "BEST" element.

Carbon. Look around your room. Anything that isn't a metal or glass is made from an organic compound; made from carbon.

The wood in your desk? Carbon.
That keyboard's plastic? Carbon.
The fuzzy fur on your favorite plushie? Carbon.

Carbon kicks your ass. Why? Because carbon is your ass. Your ass is carbon. It is the element of Life.

I think we all know the "BEST" element.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

i think it's time this thread devoted some love to an entirely different taxonomic kingdom... the best taxonomic kingdom!
Got it.

Carbon is pretty nice, but I'll have to go with Hydrogen for creating the stars.
actually, taxonomic kingdom doesn't have anything to do with elements. i wanted to talk about fungus.... funguses...

you can change the thread title in individual posts, i did that in my previous post

EDIT:fungi

Oh, I know. I'm just not actually listening to any of you and changing the thread on my own fickle whims.

Besides Captain Planet isn't the only thing to admit that Heart is the best element.
