What is the best grain?


Besides rice, obviously.

I'd just like to note that there is a species of staple grain everywhere that there has been human society.

Europe and Africa had Wheat, Asia had Rice, North and South America had Corn.

But Antarctica? Antarctica ain't got no grain for you.

Dang, another tough choice.

Onions, all kinds of them, awesome any way you make them. Cucumbers, the ultimate summer vegetable, godlike in pretty much every kind of salad imaginable. Also peppers and bell peppers are pretty awesome too. Carrots too, one of the most awesome and most crunchy things in nature.

Also pumpkins, but not the horribly large orange ones (although those have their uses too) but the smaller usually some variant of green ones, they look quite similar to cucumbers really, and again, are awesome if you fry them or dip them in batter and then fry them.

Not a big fan of potatoes really, sure they're awesome, but they're pretty bland by themselves while other stuff can usually stand on it's own taste, they're like the bread of vegetables, used as filler mostly to make you full.

Do beans count? If so, garbanzo beans without a doubt.

Otherwise, a crisp and sweet carrot is quite delectable.

Potatoes all the way. I'm not great at cooking, but even I can make spiced diced potatoes that taste better than most fruit, and they're filling, too!
