Everything I need to print I print on the lazer printer at work for free or at officdepot. its cheaper and faster to pay the office depot per page price plus driving cost/time than it is to have to go out and rebuy printer ink or a new inkjet printer every few months because the ink dried up or whatever always happens.

Food in amusement parks and such. I don't go to those places often, but damn. 10 dollars for a hamburger that's half the size of something I could get at Jack In the Box? For 1 dollar? Madness!

Of course, if you don't come with food you bought already you don't got no choice. Damned capitalism.

I don't think I've ever felt ripped off, though sometimes I feel guilty about spending money.
There's this fast food resturant I go to sometimes where a burger, fries, and a drink is like $12, but it's delicious so I don't really mind.

cinema food is also a rip off.

may as well march in with your pre-bought food.

Most cinemas in the UK officially ban this, but nobody really cares if you vaguely disguise your actions by bringing a "carrier bag" with you filled with your food :)

Buying snacks at convinience stores.

Dammit I know if I didn't mind the long walk I could get twice the Peanut butter cup for my dollar but dammit it's so much closer.

Cinema I go to doesn't care if you take food in. And their tickets are bargin price, and the food isn't that expensive anyway.

Not sure actually.  There's a cinema near me that does try to prevent outside food being brought in more aggressively (which I why I go to the other one that doesn't).

All the theatres around here have signs up saying no outside food, but none of them really enforce it unless you're being really obvious. If they did enforce it, they'd be turning away 3/4 their customers.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Yeah this is pretty much the case in NY too.

Also you know what pisses me off? DLC, makes me feel like I was ripped off every time. Unless it was really, really good, or I got it bundled together or with the original game in a ultimate edition or something.

I usually end up buying indie for this reason, they either give you updates with content for free or the DLC is pretty cheap for the content.

It might be a little less painful if you think of DLCs as mini expansion packs (unless you really hated expansion packs when they were big back in the day, too).

Printer ink... because I need it to print. But c'mon, £20 for 5ml? Screw me sideways.

Alternatively, circumvent the system with 3rd party ink and some finagling. Doesn't work as well for every printer.

I saw something about an opensource 2d printer awhile back... don't know if anything came of it...

Oddly enough I hear that yes this is a genuin rip off and that ink costs no where close to as much as it is being sold now. The price comes from the fact that there is an artificial monopoly and you cannot make ink cartridges for printers without permission.

It was to the point where it was cheaper for me to buy a whole new printer then it was for me to get a new cartridge.

when amusement parks deny outside food brought in. most food they overcharge and the quality sucks compared to food that can be made at home.
