Okay my current idea is to make bacon a sort of meat cheese.

Opened up the save and took a look around. I plan on starting in earnest tomorrow, I think my character will end up possessing Sayak's wife.

10 dwarves living, with one horribly wounded, one tantruming, and one unhappy person. Sayaks is happy, because he doesn't know anyone here.

As for the baconator, the meatcheese (don't know if that sounds disgusting or awesome) approach seems good to me.

This may be a bit beyond my ken, I understand raws fairly well and it's clear that it isn't a temperature problem since giving bacon a fixed heat still resulted in a stack of magma. The differences between bacon and bread are strictly cosmetic so I assume there's some trouble translating between plants and meat I'm not sure where to take it from here.

I have no idea what to do, but I'll rattle off some ideas anyway.

Syntax error? Spelling error?

Is its fixed temperature above it's melting point?

Is it actually turning into magma, or are you just saying that?

Post whatever relevant raws there are, then we can help more.

It doesn't have a fixed temperature but adding one that was below the melting point didn't help.
Yak Meat [5] becomes magma[5]

Should I just workshop this out to Modding?

Bacons...

I really wonders why there are no such human food in the game.

Maybe Toady couldn't figure out how to make bacon either. Maybe he kept turning it into lava :?

You should use it to hold feasts for goblin visitors.

Adamantine bread and magma beacon seems like good, tradicional dorfy food to me. we should use as is.

Bacon update, the modding forum has fixed the molten bacon problem but the reaction now turns meat into piles of animal skin.

Bacon is finished, it was sort of complicated so to avoid any confusion just extract this folder to murderfarmed/raw/objects. The reaction takes any kind of animal meat and cures it into bacon which is substantially more valuable.
