Other factions don't have the need to do so due to size and resouces. The Sagon-Hai is comparativly smaller and so everyone needs to know how to do everything so if the dedicated armor guy gets killed or the person in charge of repairing damaged uniforms gets blown up anyone can replace them.

ZTG is aplaneswalker so he'll be gone come your turn. But on expendable that's a yes and a no. In setting Sagon-Hai are anturally very cowardly when faced with overwhelming forces compared to others, who'll make a blind banzai charge rather than be shamed by retreating, and need to be psyonicly controlled to keep them on the battlefield. This is made worse when everyone who gets killed is a blow the faction can't recover from easily.

So story wise, everyone is as unexpendable as possible. But if dedicated troopers die, someone else can replace them for that job.

I have perfectworld DF working on my computer.  Can you post the map of how you wanted the world to look like?

Here it is, such as it may be. I kept getting  distracted from finding a person to make this by other ongoing projects.

This double post is for publicity's sake.

I can say this now, some things are impossible.  In perfectworld, you cannot place the temperature, or good/evil.  I can get the mountains savage, but it will take some doing.  I work on it, and give you a few possibilities.

Seems the program needs work then....

The savage mountain area is just to force the dwarves to be where they need to be. If you can make the mountains in the bottom left (that broken band) inhopitibale to worldgen dwarfves that'd be great.

No, it is just that those parameters are hardcoded into the game.  The only ones able to be edited are in the program.

Anyway, here is possibility number 1.  Note:rivers can only be defined in world gen, along with good, evil, precise volcano location, and temperature.  Savagery is not displayed within the image.
Spoiler: perfectworld image (click to show/hide)
If you do not like this one, I will create another.  Parameters in next post.  Nevermind, it looks like I will have to e-mail you the parameters, if it does not fit in a PM.

Hmm pretty close. Unless there needs to be large bodies of water, the blue in the map was intended as color coding, and the mountains accross the top are intended to be solid, unless that's a measure to make suure anything that spawns up there can get diown to the fortress.

Good work overall.

Considering that you map had no scale, you could place the fort at the north-eastern most portion of the map, and have it basically be what your map looks like.  Of course, you have to gen the world first.  Oh, by the way, in the world gen file I had to send to you via e-mail due to this forum's 40000 word limit, the settings are for a large world.  That is the reason if you have a lot of rejections.

Ok, so I am about to engage the test, but it seems I accidently deleted thier weapons, so I'm going to have to make those. Where do i control the amount of starting individuals for an entity? They'll be woefully under armed compared to the other civs, and I want my test to go off smoothly.

Also, Commisars will fill the role of both executioner and law enforcment, and progression will be as such:

Outpost - Outpost Commander
Forward Base - Forward Commander
Field base  - Field Commander
Permanent Garrison - Garrison Commander

The Quartermaster will fill the role of broker and bookkeeper, And Managers will go by "Unit Administrators" with the Company Physician being the head medical guy.

For intents and purposes, All yukarans are immortal barring disease or battledeaths, so don't be afriad when we start if troopers arrive with rediculous skills, They'll have lived a long time and should be treated  as such, as life is cheap on Yukaris and living into one's 30s is considered an impressive feat due to the numbers of soldiers being killed daily. Tis is offset though by these people breeding like cats.

Another note, all cultures consider someone an adult at fighting age of 16, and so the child age will be set as such. After all, they probably won't live much longer after that.

If at any point we somehow have the high prest/preistess arrive, they will be considered on extended inspection detail and will only demand as much as a garrison commander of decent accomodations. If they are killed, they will be copnsidered to have returned to the capital at Sagos, and our inability to make specific requests will be left as issues with the regular route they take making getting specifics difficult.

Anyway, i figured a bump and an update would help things out. And ZTG, thanks for the gen info. Picked it up today.

Something isn't going right or they aren't geared well enough to function... Or I did something wrong in the raws (probably forgot to label something.)
