I use trolls in my mod normal. In vanilla they only can haul items, be performer and recruit in squad, but with DFhack I can toggle labors for trolls and use they as normal goblins. But trolls also are shearable. I shear trolls even by troll shearer. But when I make milkable ogress or harpy, they cannot be milked in fortress.

Looks fine, you need to run the milking job from a farmers workshop and supply buckets, the milking comes on a cooldown from the last time it was done like a normal cow. No goblin reactions needed, unless you've burrowed and blocked the buckets from being used, the collected milk inside the buckets can be emptied into a milk stockpile with liquid-tight containers.
  • Same applies to other bucket liquids such as lye and custom modded bucket liquids like buckets of water (which for reactions is unnatural to be collected normally)
Anything in your errorlog.txt in your main DF file about any issues? Same advice to just check there's no obstructions and that your ogres are actually female and haven't been milked recently first.

What I must search? In game milker just not understand ogress as milkable creature and cancel job like if have no milkable creature.

Other than just not giving it blood, no. You can give it a liquid blood tissue layer, but that will all pour out the instant they get a papercut. Like, from every part of the body at once, even if the wound is on a body part that doesn't contain the fluid tissue, that liquid tissue from the opposite end of the body comes seeping out of that wound. So not at all like blood, and in fact stupid and very buggy overall

If it has blood, it will die of blood loss. You can postpone that by beginning a syndrome that removes the has_blood token while they are bleeding, which will allow them to just gush thousands of times more blood than they should have until the syndrome stops, but unfortunately the wound doesn't heal and the blood loss never peters out (based on my experiments) while that token is in effect and the blood they have lost doesn't recuperate either, so as soon as the syndrome ends they're right back to the "about 10 seconds from bleeding to death" state.

You can circumvent that by causing a transformation to take effect the same tick they have blood again, lasting for only one tick. Transformations reset wounds and blood loss. The catch then, is a transformation will make them drop all their gear if this isn't an animal.

That actually may be just what I need thanks! I am thinking of making a blood demon that constantly bleeds "poison" blood from its skin/eyes/mouth/etc so I could use those tricks. Basically just a grotesque monster that gets blood all over everything

According to the wiki, if a creature with the UTTERANCES token isn't in a SKULKING civ they will start wars and not be able to end them because they can't communicate. Maybe if the civ's creature is OPPOSED_TO_LIFE? But other than that you'd probably require some interesting ethics choices to ensure wars break out due to ethical differences. And even then it may be iffy with humans since their ethics are randomized.

To make my own general question, how does the SECRETION tag work exactly? Does the chosen secretion simply stay on the part which secretes it? Or does the secretion get on other parts of the creature's body? Like, say, if I make a creature that secretes a form of toxin or venom continuously from its mouth, will said toxin also be on parts which are arranged around the mouth part? Will it just remain there in the mouth, or will it drip down onto the ground?
