You can't convert gold to trophies anymore. Instead you can "refer friends", which is useless because I don't think there are any decent sized forums out there that would tolerate such advertising.

Thats depressing.

The creater of the game should update his forum post then.

I am so utterly sick of my rage.
He has 70 Str, and he still refuses to make hits above 50 with a MAUL.

He has brought shame upon my family, and thus, will we sold when a promising theatrical slave comes along.

I have a few questions:
1. So slashing weapons cause more bleeding?
2. Bleeding isnt proportional to how much damage the attack did, but to the severity of the wound it causes?
3. In that case, lots of little hits are good for bleeding but not direct damage?
4. Commonsense seems not to apply here, so are daggers slashing or stabbing weapons, and will stabbing cause as much bleeding as slashing?
5. Does the body part you hit affect bleeding at all?
6. Will lots of small hits drain as much endurance as a few big ones?
7. If i'm dual-weilding daggers, will i still attack alot each round on lower levels of activity?
8. Does bloodlust affect how much bleeding you cause?
9. Do any stats in particular affect how often you inflict bleeds?

Thats about all i have for now.

Are you sure he's using the right attack method? Don't slash with a maul, don't bash with a sword.

Also - what's his weapon skill up to? Don't expect much more then fumbling till you get to 5 or so. I pretty much make do with 7 (since that's when it gets down to 30% or so success), although I've recently (now that my glads have pretty much maxed out their skills) started burning the points to work up to 10.

I have a few questions:
1. So slashing weapons cause more bleeding?
Generally, yes.

Quote
2. Bleeding isnt proportional to how much damage the attack did, but to the severity of the wound it causes?
Seems to be - I've had good luck with my theatrical glad with just the exotic dagger, which doesn't do much damage, but hits quickly and (with some points in 'cause extra bleeding') tends to inflict 25 bleed per critical hit.

Quote
3. In that case, lots of little hits are good for bleeding but not direct damage?
See above, although don't knock direct damage - sometimes you don't have the time to let people bleed out.

4. Commonsense seems not to apply here, so are daggers slashing or stabbing weapons, and will stabbing cause as much bleeding as slashing?
I've gotten decent results with both, just don't use it like a club and you should be fine.

Quote
5. Does the body part you hit affect bleeding at all?
Doesn't seem to, although I haven't done a scientific study or anything.

Quote
6. Will lots of small hits drain as much endurance as a few big ones?
Depends on the weapon, your acrtivity level and your beserk level. Daggers naturally will hit more often then mauls, although both will hit more often if you crank your glad up to 10/10.

Quote
7. If i'm dual-weilding daggers, will i still attack alot each round on lower levels of activity?
See above. Yes, bascially.

Quote
8. Does bloodlust affect how much bleeding you cause?
Don't think so.

Quote
9. Do any stats in particular affect how often you inflict bleeds?
Stats? No. But there is a theatrics skill that causes bleed, and there's a race - Sniviller(sp?) which also causes extra bleed.

I thought the best thing to do was get your weapon skill up to 10 right away. I did that with ThreeToe and he is tearing stuff up at 10/10 and a record of 141 - 20 - 13

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Unfortunately the game keeps putting him against opponents over 10 levels higher than him. Irritating to have 750 hp and go up against other Ragers with 950-1000.

Thanks for the replies.

I am bashing with the maul.

His weapon skill is 3, and he fumbles maybe once or twice a match.

My polearm based War has the same level of weapon skill, about 60 str, and even with the junk Armoury weapons hits 70+ often.

Anyway, yeah.

I just realized how close Armok is to Maximus. Maybe I'll get him there before the next Blood Games. Wouldn't want to miss out on a month long ass-whupping

And here is a feeble attempt at referring someone: http://www.pitofwar.com/ref/a1t39524

Pole-arms rely on Agility, by the way.

Polearms use Agility?
I didn't consider that.

That being said, Malmar also has 60 Agility.

I didn't notice anyone mentioning it yet, but apparently there's been another update. Jimmy no longer steals your gold, and Pit fights reward gold rather than costing it.

The main upshot of this is that Jimmy's 10% tax was a major barrier in saving up enough gold for purple items being purchasable to really matter. Now purples just cost a lot more time than blues.

GOD DAMMIT DELMURT!

You HAD to go and die in a black market fight!

Im thinking about not selling Delmurt just because of how pathetically he fails.

That change to black market is pretty nice. Guess I'll do those more often just to cash in. It's also a nice way to see wich strategies work since it evens out any gear advantages.

At long last! Different gladiator and a black market fight, but a single victory!  :)

Yea, the Black Market isn't very lucrative, but making 100g a match is better then losing gold! Glad to see he scaled back the money consumers.

Ugh, Malmar would be in the top ten in the black market if he would just stop killing everyone.

And to top all this off, there isnt a single polearm or heavy armor in the blacksmith.

My first slave is doing really well...13-1-1 in the official and 11-1-1 in the black market so far

Just bought a second one cause it had 64 size and 78 intelligence with a few other respectable stats...made her a war specialized slave and so far is 4-1-0

I guess I will have to make ThreeToe stop doing arena fights because now he is being bullied by a level 40 and 46. ThreeToe himself is level 29.
This is fucking ridiculous. I don't see how those fights should count on his record.

I am starting to see how records mean nothing. There will always be builds designed to perfectly counter other builds, and then they get their asses kicked by builds designed to take them out. It's just a cycle of one-sided fights, as if this is a giant multiplayer game of rock-paper-scissors where you have to use the same choice every time.

At least, that's how it is from the perspective of a late game 2h rage.

What's that? Your "totally beast", lightning fast Theatrics beat my 2h Rage?
