I am so utterly sick of my rage.
He has 70 Str, and he still refuses to make hits above 50 with a MAUL.
Are you sure he's using the right attack method? Don't slash with a maul, don't bash with a sword.
Also - what's his weapon skill up to? Don't expect much more then fumbling till you get to 5 or so. I pretty much make do with 7 (since that's when it gets down to 30% or so success), although I've recently (now that my glads have pretty much maxed out their skills) started burning the points to work up to 10.
I have a few questions:
1. So slashing weapons cause more bleeding?
Generally, yes.
2. Bleeding isnt proportional to how much damage the attack did, but to the severity of the wound it causes?
Seems to be - I've had good luck with my theatrical glad with just the exotic dagger, which doesn't do much damage, but hits quickly and (with some points in 'cause extra bleeding') tends to inflict 25 bleed per critical hit.
3. In that case, lots of little hits are good for bleeding but not direct damage?
See above, although don't knock direct damage - sometimes you don't have the time to let people bleed out.
4. Commonsense seems not to apply here, so are daggers slashing or stabbing weapons, and will stabbing cause as much bleeding as slashing?
I've gotten decent results with both, just don't use it like a club and you should be fine.
5. Does the body part you hit affect bleeding at all?
Doesn't seem to, although I haven't done a scientific study or anything.
6. Will lots of small hits drain as much endurance as a few big ones?
Depends on the weapon, your acrtivity level and your beserk level. Daggers naturally will hit more often then mauls, although both will hit more often if you crank your glad up to 10/10.
7. If i'm dual-weilding daggers, will i still attack alot each round on lower levels of activity?
See above. Yes, bascially.
8. Does bloodlust affect how much bleeding you cause?
Don't think so.
9. Do any stats in particular affect how often you inflict bleeds?
Stats? No. But there is a theatrics skill that causes bleed, and there's a race - Sniviller(sp?) which also causes extra bleed.
