Crossbows? Everybody knows the most economically stable item on the planet is the graphical calculator. I swear they cost exactly as much as they did twenty years ago....

You should at least link to the comic.  :P

I'm going to enjoy the world not ending on the 21st.

And if it does,

We had a good run.

Even if the world ends. That'd be our luck.

On the other hand, if there's a rapture-thingy, I'll have all the computers I want!

I'll be waiting for the sudden wave of babies in September 2013. It's gonna happen. I knows it because I seen a vision. Yup.

I disapprove of this development. How will I be fed the souls of all living beings if the world doesn't end in December? Screw this. You Mesoamericans go find yourselves a new Death god.

if it's the rapture, d'ya think god would forgive any non-Christians?
Lololololo

1. Biblical God = You die now k
2. Christians got it wrong.

For you see, I consulted the Ferryman's manual, and it says during apocalypse event 4.1, as long as you proclaim (or not proclaim) your loyalty to no one (not even the Blood God), you shall be spared, left on Earth to continue living in average, exciting mundane existence whilst the others get stolen... Doomed to spending eternity chanting the Blood God's name.
Or it's the other way around, it's not very clear on that.

incidentally, doesn't the bible mention something about no-one but god knowing when the rapture would be?

It also has some specific dates already passed so no one really takes it seriously.

And by no one, I mean a lot of people o-o

So basically the Crazy Mayan Cult Calendar (tm) they found before just was like volume 1 or maybe the "travel sized" version. Not so much "doomsday" as "see book 2-whatever."

if so, that means that if you are Christian, you just need to predict that the world will end every day, and it won't.

And thus was God ensnared in a web of logic and prophecy.
