Why do you even bother to play if that's all you are going to do?

Bad place to leave the thread at. :P

Really Lil, that's sort of lame...anyway! Let's start this thing.

The Trial of Carly Summers-Jury Selection

Kathryn Lynch is overseeing the Eight being Celestial/Infernal Jury being chosen for the case.

She needs the three things from the GM's.

1. The current makeup of the Jury-presumably, chosen by random. Also, what payment they've requested for their time.
2. Who, if anyone, Carly has hired to stand for her defense
3. If the Defense has any objections to our current Jurors.

You seem to be forgetting that I'm on a training trip in an attempt to grind out dozens of spells. Just be happy I'm not doing 12 one hour spell comps for every single day of the trip. And hey, you think I like posting turns like that? It was to my understanding that everything would follow a simple schedule I gave to Weird so that I wouldn't have to post these bland actions during my training thing. Complain to Weird for deciding otherwise.

Anyway, my stats are up. I forgot to do that before crashing last night.

Lillipad: "Grinding out spells" like is both boring and inefficent. You don't get any circumstance bonuses for having spellbooks and other equipment, you don't get a chance to select what spells you get and it strains the GM's creativity having to come up with a bunch of spells you'd be interested in without any prompts or suggestions from you. It's much, much better (both in terms of fun and mechanics) to come up with some spell ideas first and to come up with specific, detailed actions that will help you learn those spells. I know you're creative enough to do that, and if it's just a matter of wanting to get power fast without overwhelming the GM with long turn posts, I have good news in that the GMs have specifically and explictly given us a method to rapidly gain spells:

Go to the Magic Seed Shop in Barstow. Buy all the remaining Fruit of Knowledge. Gobble them down. Immediately gain up to nine spells. Work with Kestrel and Palorur to fix whatever unfortunate side effects insue. Hell, I'll even spot you the money, just to see what happens.

E: And if Lillipad doesn't buy them, I will. 34500$ and three moderately bad curses is a small price to pay for that kind of power.

Grek, you have the wrong idea. I was hoping to be training in isolation so I'd get a bonus for having zero distractions. Not on some annoying party yacht. And I already sent Weird a PM of specific spells I want to attempt to learn. And finally, to reiterate; I like making things harder on myself in games. I'm not going to take shortcuts until I'm reasonably strong enough to make the shortcuts worthwhile.

Lillipad's odd turns aside, when are we doing the were-rights meeting mini-session thing? And should we do some preliminary, "Here's the New Order's proposal" stuff?

What can we offer them? None of us are rich enough to offer a massive support program. Which it seems they might need after being downtrodden for so long.

Speaking of wealth though. I wonder if setting up a mining operation in the Ballast vaults would be a good idea for me. Bring in some cash. All the other mages seem to have some way of being wealthy. We should find something as well.

You should probably keep most of anything you mine for advanced/permanent golem making. But there are probably more important things we should be worrying about than money at the moment. Such as becoming walking fortresses so we stop getting wrecked when a stray lucky enemy shows up.

My current "how to make money fast" schemes are A] selling large souls at Styx Crossing (that dragon got me 15000$ in ID; other souls are probably also pretty fancy) and B] my plant farm, which can be expected to bring in around 2000$ a day from necromancer's delight as long as there's demand for that, plus unknown amounts for the steelbloom steel, pitcher lava, devil bee honey and various breeds and crossbreeds of magical corn.

E: Lillipad raises a fair point, golems are probably much more useful than the cash you'd get from any mining operation within your ability to create. And I'm fine with bankrolling our projects if needed.

As for the werebeings: The big thing they want is housing that isn't in a shit-filled ghetto. If we can find a way to provide that, they should be happy as long as we don't offend them with some other provision. I'll have a draft of a housing bill up tonightish.

Beyond the housing bill, we also need someone to draft some "Regulations Concerning the Control of Communicable Curses" which covers the various punishments for people that run around spreading Z-plague, vampirism, lycanthropy, etc. to people that don't want it and anything else we want to put down as law concerning that sort of thing.

The only one of us who's really avoided catching, advancing, or spreading some form of plague/curse is Henry. So I vote we have Cript do that.

Any comments on the housing bill? Is it too glaringly bad to deserve mention? So good that nobody could think of anything to say? So boring, nobody has finished reading it?
