Novus Aeterno OP updated
« on: April 25, 2012, 02:08:17 pm »

Im part of the devlopment of this game, namely has a high ranked infiltrator.

Novus AEterno is the first fully-realized MMORTS that combines empire building with tactical and strategic RTS combat; all within a single massive, persistent RTS game universe populated by thousands and thousands of players.

-----IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGUARDING THE PREMIUM ACCOUNT-----------
Quote
Premium Accounts include the following perks:

-Longer offline build queues. If a user is offline quite often, he can still keep progressing and not completely fall too far   behind friends who are more active.
-Automated trade routes between your own planets. This does not make it less vulnerable, only simpler to manage your empire.
-More in-depth AI customization. A bit more options for your offline and online AI.

None of these features will allow a tactical advantage to premium members. At best it will provide some convenience for those who take a more casual approach to the game. I trust our more ambitious generals to calculate weaknesses in those who rely too heavily on these systems but they are there to support the less hard core RTS gamer to still be able to enjoy the game.

-Nick

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Oh god that grammar. And the site manages to combine such classic gems as 'if you have one arm your qualified' with eye-raping, seizure-inducing, mind-warping, guts-devouring, pre-school site design.

I probably forgot something but I just really needed to do this.

About the actual game: Not really the genre (MMO) in which I am interested.

If you're going to rag on this guys spelling and grammer, might wanna make sure you don't make any mistakes in your own post. Especially since you don't actually have anything to say about the game. Not everyone is a naitive english speaker, give the guy a break.

Native frenchie here, so yeah grammar is horrible but i guess its better than l33t speak with more numbers than letters. I did not know i had to be so carefull about it here, anyway instead of speaking grammar how about speaking of the game?

I love how both posts that criticize grammar both contain horrible crimes against the English language as well... and written by native speakers.  Jocan, I apologize on behalf of English speakers everywhere.

Gee Dariush and Dutchling, stop being so hostile towards the OP.

jocan, please do not view these douchebags as a representative of Bay 12 community as a whole.

And yeah I am a non-native English speaker, too. Rage about it if you wish.

Anyway, about the game, I watched the alpha gameplay videos on Youtube. It does seem to have potentials (seamless MMO RTS sounds cool) but need more polishing before I can make any judgment. Things like unit-specific abilities are not demonstrated, giving me the impression that whoever masses more ships will win.

I do like how the ship designs remind me of Homeworld 2 motherships.

YOUR QUALIFIED WHAT!?

YOUR QUALIFIED WHAT, DARIUSH!?

WHAT WERE YOU GOING TO SAAAAAAAAAY

And I've been watching Novus Aeterno's Facebook page for a while, mostly because the idea of an MMORTS is interesting to me.

Wether you're a native speaker or not does not permit your laziness to rule over your grammar. At least not while you're making a showcase for a game. English wasn't even my second language, yet I'm at least looking to polish my grammar. (not saying he's not doing so.)

Oh and jocan, do you think that game is runnable on an iPad? If so expect me to have something to do on breaks.

Guys stop arguing about grammar this is dumb.

I can point out a grammar/spelling mistake in most of the posts here.

Have a good day!

I think the game, although very early, looks great. I offered my talents to them as an Infiltrator and I hope to be accepted. Thanks for bringing this project to my attention.

There is a fair few mmorts' these days, although I've yet to play one that really grabbed me.

Are there any recent gameplay videos on this (or am I just hopeless at locating them on the site?)
