"But- but what are civic defenders?
And, has the last mission ended yet?"
Ask things I should know already.
>Civic defenders are the level above normal police. Local UWM enforcers. And yeah the last mission ended. Joy. We're being called in to reinforce the regulars, that can't be good.
Head back to Nyars, get a large package with a green hexagon with the coupon.
He nods and walks away, coming back with a capsule the size of a small crate.
"Here ya go."
Bruce, somehow suddenly finding out he's been drafted goes too meet his fellow mission people to introduce himself
"U-um hello, I-I'm B-b-b-Bruce, who here is the uh leader?"
Resist urge to pee pants.
((Did you know it's really annoying to write stutters, luckily I have A PLAN!))
[will:1]
Your resistance is futile.
Go to AM, ask:
'Hey, it's me again. Could you please explain to me in detail what the difference is between a normal, a melee and a mobility battlesuit? Or maybe unlock the designs so I can check them in VR? We're almost leaving for the next mission, and I'd like to get some decent armor before we depart.
Speaking of VR: Hey Steve, can I use the VR machines again please?
By the way, I once read in a manual that these battlesuits have several hidden functions. Would you be able to unlock them, and if yes, what would I need to do for you to unlock them?'
>No, you can't. Hurry the heck up.
"Normal is heavier armored and slower then the mobility and melee. Mobility type sacrifices some armor to be able to fly and move quickly. Otherwise, it's the same. Melee doesn't fly but is designed to be very evasive and fast for charging. Comes with a heavy blade.
As per hidden stuff, I tend to let people find that on their own. Generally if you can't figure it out you're probably not good enough to use it."
"Apart from gauss. Also how much is the monoatmoic sword?"
Ask that. also ask what sort of armour can be worn thats cheap but still better than a MK1. hopefully.
"6 for the sword. You probably want something archaic for a gun right?"
"Alright, I suppose I should get something more versatile than this Tesla Saber."
Go to AM, trade in un-used Tesla Saber for a Microwave Field Manipulator and pocket the extra 2 tokens. If I can't get full price for the Tesla Saber, just keep it. Regardless, head to the pods afterwards.
You do that and then pod yourself.
"Okay, I'll do that and buy an Advanced kit. I assume that rounds down?" Roger buys an Advanced kit and turns in the Emergency kit and the tokens.
"You assume correctly." she says, taking your money and trade before handing you a shiny new advanced kit.
Get prepared for mission. Check myself before I wreck myself.
I'll...take it that that means you're podded.
"looks like it's time to flame on"
Put on MK.2 suit, make sure helmet is on tight, download some music to the suit's system. Get flamethrower and make sure the pilot light is off. Grab some fresh spoons and bottle of scotch from the cantina. Then head to the pods.
You get yourself kitted out and then head for the pods.
Thomas walks over to May, sits next to her, then whispers into her ear.
"I'm kind of scared..."
Be ready.
I'll just pod you with her if you don't mind.
Get my laser back from Leon's bag. Fix it.
You get your laser and look it over. Looks like you'll need some replacement parts, specifically for the wires that were cut.
"Sounds good to me. How long do you need?"
Ask.
((Oh. Now I see why no mutants. Probably going to be defending from some invaders, maybe clearing out an infestation.))
"Oh, not too long. I'll give you a call."
Ready to sail!
Podded
