I don't know, I guess the default male announcer from unreal tournament 2004 is kinda my inspiration for his voice. And I thought that the all caps were to emphasize manliness :P

Keep up the good work, both you and chartle! I'm curious about the new version.

My attempts at voicing hamstone
Make it a little less robotic, and then it's perfect for me.

Haha, oh gods you guys are awesome. I didn't think i'd ever hear Hamstone talking. :D

Anyways, good news everyone!

DOWNLOAD THE NEW VERSION RIGHT HERE

Told you it'd be November. :U
Anyways, CHANGELIST OF THINGS I CAN REMEMBER:
- Improved GUI all over the place (except the Badges menu, but that whole functionality needs an overhaul)
- New skill system with plenty of accompanying gameplay features (note: current skill point acculumation rate is temporary, it'll be slower later)
- Numerous tweaks here and there
- Expanded difficulty system (mouse over the difficulty text for details)
- Added levels 11-14 (13-14 by Chartle, bless 'im)
- Now runs at 60 FPS rather than 30

And aaa probably more things i forgot, but hey, you'll find out soon enough.
THINGS TO NOTE:
- DASH BY DOING A HALF-CIRCLE BACKWARDS. (as in ASD for a dash to the right and DSA for a leftie)
- Slowdowns may occur during crowded moments.
- I forgot to remove the level skipping function in level 1 but i am too lazy to remove it now so yeah.
- Music in levels 11-13 is indeed recycled, we're contacting a musician ASAP.

Radtacular! Looking forward to it. c:

Also, y'all too busy to spare me a wee comment? I'd like to know what you think, at the very least. I'm sure i did SOMETHING wrong that bears mentioning, because i refuse to believe that it's perfect right now.

Lame.

My computer crashed yesterday and I have spent hours reinstalling everything.

Sorry that I haven't tried it out yet. I really did intend to.

I played it through on normal mode. I like the changes and the new levels were pretty cool.

I had way too much money by the end, and still couldn't get to the end of both skill trees.

All in all it was pretty fun.

I will try a harder difficulty setting, and see if I can do it.

Yeah the whole money-skill thing is annoying me. Maybe shorter, more numerous skill trees?

It's actually intentional that you can't get both skill trees maxed, however silly it may sound. They represent two fairly different playing styles (even though offense is heavily favoured at the moment, given how shooting bad guys == more dosh), and mixing them up would make you an utterly unstoppable killing machine (i should know, i tried it). Then again, with this rate of difficulty climb, it might be necessary! We'll see how things work out best.
I would make more numerous and varied skill trees, but the problem is that it's getting hard to make them all fit into the game. I mean, there are only 6 more planned levels, it's pretty limited how much more can be shoved into it without cluttering it even more. Not to mention that i'm literally running out of space in the shop. :P

Also, regarding that money thing, it's an annoying issue that i'm aware of. I suppose the solution would be to reduce the value of the more frequent enemies, so as to keep the cash gain at a sane level. As it stands, i was pretty much maxed out by level 11 myself, and the cash upgrades really shouldn't be maxed before level 16. So either lower enemy values, or increase pricing of later upgrades. OR BOTH.

Thanks for the feedback, guys, and good luck with the harder difficulties! I know it's possible up to and including Nightmare, but past that? Well, you tell me. :U
