Simus goes over to the edge where Travis went down and leans over, looking at him.
You all right down there, or should I fetch a medic?
((I looked at your epic-scale rendering of the tower in Minecraft. The very first thing I thought: TSSSSSSSSsssssssssss. The second thing? You are now even more of an epic GM.))
You lean over the edge and look down at your teammate as he twitches and coughs, splayed out on top of the walkway. Least he didn't fall off. That would have been really
hilarious bad.
((That's awesome, PW. And yeah, that looks like it took forever, at least without using an edit program.))
Carefully and slowly approach and examine glinting metal.
You approach the walkway and the bit of glimmering metal, walking as though you were on thin ice, edging your way forward. It looks like a grappling hook. You stick your head out and look down. There's a rope dangling off into the darkness attached to the hook.
((Wow, that must have taken a long time. Thank you PW for the image!))
Travis coughs.
"Yep, definitely dangerous. *cough*. Yah, I'm ok. Anyway, I'm on Walkway 2 team. Continuing exploration"
Travis waits for the pain to subside, and then gets up and walks into Citadel 1 from the walkway
Remember that those walkways are basically just pipes with holes on both sides, like windows. So getting into the citadel will require you climbing off the top of the pipe and swinging in through the side. You still want to do that?
((@piecewise: That is incredible. Thank you for your effort. I had already got the grip of the thing after you explained it the third time (), but it is still nice to see it pictured.
@SerCon: I did have the impression you were.))
"Since we are already split up, try not to get too fragmented, although loner can go crazy on exploring if he wants to."
Get to the place Maurice is.
You join up with Maurice, and by connection, faith, in the room leading into a walkway.
(( Oh WOW. Now that tower should've taken a lot of time, and daammit, that's the coolest handout material I've ever received from a GM. Great job, and thank you once more, Piecewise! ))
What is it, Faith? ...Is there something interesting, or, perhaps, ...dangerous?
Warily enter and examine the room Faith is/was staring at, with my hand resting on the handle of the Instrument.
A gruesome sight, maybe? ...The older's brother remains, perhaps?
(( I've thought it over extensively, and hey, Maurice's already stabbed a 'dead' body just before it 'rose to life'. Guess that warrants him at least a small share of paranoia ))
You examine the room while Faith tip toes into the connected walkway. This room is actually slightly different then the others; it's lacking the alcoves that are in every other room, and the walls are all smoothed and shaped to connect to the walkway, like the bell of a trumpet.
Hey, Travis! Hang on, I'm coming down. Nobody should be going off completely on their own.
Simus carefully climbs down, then ties off her rope at the bottom with a piton, then goes on with Travis, laying out the rope behind her.
[str:6]
You don't even bother to use a harness or your legs, you just lower yourself down the rope with your hands like some sort of action movie hero and land lightly a top the walkway, posturing like a peacock.
"Robo-arms. Bitches."
([...]EDIT @PW again: Jim ≠ SerCon. I seem to remember awhile back doing some rolls to amuse myself and noting he preferred brunettes... but in the + column I finally have a thread title named after my actions, so... )
((Aw great.
Piecewise, that was an amazing display of aesthetic brilliance. This reeks of architectural ingenuity.
Aaaand now I regret dying-via-personal-error more, again.))
Thanks, and don't worry, At least you'll live to explore another day.
((Holy shit. Dammit, now I want to make an ER adventure map. Or play one.))
Something like mission 3 might make a good one, the problem is that minecraft doesn't really give me proper mindfucking tools. And what is ER without mindfucking, really
. Though, I could make something like this, one thats primarily exploration and survival in a hostile world. That could be fun.
And yeah, I used an editing program to do a lot of the work on that tower, so it only took a few hours. Mostly because anytime I spend on that I'm not spending working on the actual posts, so I don't want to dawdle anymore then I have to.
