Azastre hits his face against the mechanism once before turning around to check on what's the problem.

Azastre checks the sound of the noise. If it's hostile, he attacks using Gretel's +4 gloves.

Ire rubbed her hand, nursing the pain as she glanced to the side at her allies. Nothing was currently attacking...

Until she remembered it was Kahn's voice which called over the emptiness of chaos.


"Hey...um, thanks."

Just tell him n-

not now...


Spear > Origin of arm.

Failing that, go over to Kahn's side and try to console him.

Shadow 2 furiously futilely swings at the mirror, but he isn't able to break much of it. The giant stretches its other hand out of the mirror, 5 but Shadow ducks away before its flowing hand gets a grip on his body.



Arianna 1 The rabbit shudders and opens its mouth, but it lets out a squeak and says nothing, bulging eyes fixed on the mirror behind it.


Rod 4: 5+4+2+7 wantonly breaks the mirror up wherever he manages to make his sword's scabbard hit. It spiderwebs and cracks, obscuring the image of the giants and crumbling some of the wall, but not enough. A light giant's hand oozes through the cracks, noticeably minced but still pretty big. 4 Rod hops away from it, wary of the appendage. Probably burns.


Ace watches Gretel suspiciously, as she crushes the skull of a raving rabbit and runs off to help his party mates vandalize the glass wall. Part of it shatters, breaking away the view of a black giant. The other side of the room looks identical to this side, minus rabbits and rabbit corpses.

1 He fumbles and drops a silver bullet, which rolls away. Before he can catch it, it rolls straight off the floor and tumbles end over end into the dark beneath. It bumps off a green rune-etched pillar before fading out of sight.


Azastre 3 turns and observes white, just before contacting it with his +4 Gretel's gloves. The rabbit groans as it is punted away from Azastre and over the edge. The only problem is that Azastre wasn't ready to handle the knockback, and is sent tumbling to the side of the room. One more tumble and he would have fallen off. A close call.

6 He knocks his rifle against the floor while doing so, and the lodged bullet snaps out and over the edge.


Kahn 2 ignores everything and heads over to the previous stairs. He swings his polearm around, but he doesn't feel very up to it. 5,5,1,4 A rabbit drops into his part of the room, and he pokes it with his polearm as live practice, yielding 20 points to Polearms.


Ire 2 stabs the arm, but she doesn't do any damage to it. In fact, her spear is lodged.

Feeling that his teammates were up to it and he ought to be allowed a little time himself to do nothing constructive, Kahn continued to use the nearby rabbit for weapon practice and trained Polearms again.

Twist spear in position and yank it out, apply boot to area hit by spear.

If possible: Order Lizard to slam against the mirror. Also, politely request Popo to try to identify the mirror.

Azastre gets his rifle and decides to take some time to analyze the field. It seems very obviously bad and there's something near Ire. Fair deal.

Kahn 5,3,5 gains 26 points towards Polearms, via judicious application of force. The rabbit falls to the ground.


Ace 5 quickly loads another bullet, pretending nothing happened. He shoots at the hand of menace, 3+5+4+2 vs 2+8 and deals a meager 4 damage to the hand. It dies a bit but otherwise continues lunging around for something to squeeze the life out of.


Ire 5 twists the spear out, dealing 5 damage to the hand. It writhes but stays alive.

5 She orders, and the lizard rams a part of the mirror with all its multiton might. A quarter of the mirror completely shatters and rains shards onto the lizard, who shrugs them off like no more than mayflies trying to get a piece of him. The giants approaching that part of the mirror are wiped from sight.

6->6->1 "A door to another world?" Popo guesses. "A world of power, where even the weakest thing there can dwarf any on of us. And, the giants don't seem like they're the weakest, Miss."


Azastre 5+3+4  vs 5+8 = 1 damage smacks the arm with his palm, empowered by Gretel's gloves. The material that constitutes the melting hand are disrupted and fall apart, then quickly reform. He only deals a small amount of damage as a bit of the ooze splatters to the floor and dries up.


Shadow 6->5 smacks the mirror with the length of his sword's scabbard, and breaks a big part off, while 2 dmg is taken from the glass shards. He runs towards the stairs... and quickly runs into the glass wall that halves the stairs. He will probably have to break that, too.


Rod 1+5+4+2+7 vs 2+8 = 9 damage is dealt, as his sword turns out to be quite good for something. He slices off a whole finger (it falls to the ground and becomes dust) with his huge sword.

"Why are we constantly fighting anyway? Was this tower made...in this sort of strange manner? I mean, surely - stories tell of the treasure at the finish, always like so in the tales. But here...

"Why does it always have to be stairs? Why did someone even build a linear path to the prize to make it so obvious? I mean, nobody even checked the basement. That would be the best place I'd put it and instead go up the stairs."


Engage in dialogue with Popo, Diplomacy training! Oh, and ask ask ask.

"So...anyway, I really think we should find a way out. How's Gretel?"

Pop the Quartz Bullet into the Pheonix Revolver. Cover allies by shooting at whatever seems the biggest and scariest. Double up the shot and regen the bullet.
