Tortur-Winter Wrap Up
It's a German melodic death metal band, this cover of a my little pony song is included on their first (and free) album. It's cool.

Tortur-Rääpäle
Non-pony by the same band, it's got some DooM-esque riffing at the start. Some lyrics in German, but it's not like you need to understand the whole thing to enjoy it.

The last link is broken. You probably mean this one. Quality (of the video/audio) is abominable, though. Reminds me a bit of Macabre.
I just found Volcano, I'll be happy for a while
That... wow, they really nailed the sound, there. Instant classic.

Here you go kids, some excellent Finndeath. The intro is possibly one of the greatest in death metal history.

Satanic Warhamster, ambiguous nazi since 1999.

Oh, and for anyone who cares, there's going to be another Burzum album apparently. But, it appears to be an "instrumental and a purely electronic album"...

Interesting...

Anyway

I found kind of melodic brutal death metal! My search wasn't useless!
Its from Indonesia, apparently.

Just found Protest the Hero. It's like Rise Against had a baby with Dream Theatre and let Rush get in on the act.

I'm not a huge metalcore guy nor do I want to get my face torn apart by "metalcore isn't metal graaaagh" purists but dammit this song's powerful. Dat chorus. It moved me, Bob.

Now that I've grown more tolerant of growling/screaming/unclean vocals I've given Meshuggah another shot. Holy tuckmuck it's like Tool on a mix of steroids, depressants, and hallucinogens. It's got those trippy-ass-trippy drumbeats and rhythms and errything but also dissonance and droning like doom-gloom-metal.

Double posting and/or bumping because this thread needs more metal activity.

Meshuggah-Shed

Shed is very...Tool-esquely trippy. The percussion, time signatures, subtle and oriental-like guitar melody in the background, and the quieter whispering vocals really send a vibe.

For some reason, I just never really got into Meshuggah that much.

Other than obscure Russian/Ukrainian/East Slavic punk/rac, I've been listening to obscure Russian/Ukrainian/East Slavic folk metal lately.
This makes me happy.

And this stuff:
Lifelover (Did I put this here before?)

This cd just came in today from the homeland. Basically the precursor of Drudkh.

Some dsbm band

Well, Meshuggah is known for chugging the fuck out of their lowest strings in odd rhythms and in some songs it works, and in some songs its just totally boring. Thats probably why people dont like Meshuggah. I like only few songs of theirs.

Fuck me but i recently got more into deathcore, so !!DEATHCORE ALERT!!:

Whitechapel - Ear to Ear
The Somatic Defilement is really good for a deathcore album, i really like the blend of melody with brutality, and a little bit of slam death influence here. Too bad that This is Exile is total "Lets BREAK THIS DOOOOWWWNN" album.

Thy Art Is Murder - Laceration Penetration
This album is quite technical and certainly more on the death side than core side, it even reeks of later Cryptopsy influence (Whisper Supremacy, And Then You'll Beg) It even has solos which is extremely rare in deathcore. The Adversary overall is worth checking out, but Hate, Infinite Death and their demo are not.

[/deathcorealert]

Now ill post something trv metal, and its going to be Cryptopsy - The Faceless Unknown
