Its supposed to be kind of documentary about heavy metal, and im just stating facts, that these bands indeed do exist etc. No one got angry i sang Corporeal Jigsore Quandary in the school last time. Thanks anyway.

The most well known out of those are probably Absurd, Nokturnal Mortum, Graveland, and possibly Hate Forest.
Though of those Graveland and Absurd are the most notable. I wouldn't really call Graveland NSBM, but Rob Darken is clearly the godfather of that movement. It was less noticable in the lyrics, but he took "offensive things to say in a BM interview" to a whole new level. I never really understood how someone from Poland could like Hitler so much.
Absurd got famous for that murder the original members committed as kids, and they were initially a laughingstock in the scene because they were not metal at all and more RAC musically. But they ended up bringing that RAC influence into the scene that just wasn't there before.

Yeah, and the guy from Absurd is totally freakin ugly. Totally not master race quality, just look at him:

Right  :). "Thuringian Pagan Madness" was quite silly and funny, also very catchy. It's really funny if you know german, the intro is a priest talking about Absurd and how he doesn't understand how they could become so misguided and then it turns into a song about a werewolf eating people. There's only 2 NS references I remember on that tape, and it probably was just for the offensive effect. You can't really shock that many people in Germany with Satanism, but that kind of stuff is always gonna get you attention. They got a lot of attention from tv dokus and when they were released from prison they really took off.
Really weird that most NSBM comes from countries in Eastern Europe, where people have absolutely no reason to like nazis. Rob Darken sees himself as a Celt, not a Slav, but I don't think that would have helped him much. A friend of mine interviewed him in 97 or so and he really seemed not very intelligent, which doesn't quite fit for me with what he did musically. "Thousand Swords" is still a great album.

Rob Darken is a dingus. All you have to do is look at pictures of him on google to know that. He's like Varg Vikernes Lite, but not as cool as Varg.

They're all dinguses.  Black metal is clownery and only a few people in the scene seem to have figured it out (The guys from Immortal are two prominent examples of people who've realized it's all a joke)

Rob is unemployed and proud. Varg is intelligent and charismatic. Also batshit crazy, but still.

I don't think most of the scene ever took that too seriously, but some people are not in on the joke.

Does anybody have any good DSBM? Preferably about the loss of a loved one. Family member, spouse or otherwise.
I dunno. Just want it.

You might have better luck checking out gothicy-doom metal for those kinds of lyrics. I don't usually pay attention to lyrics anyway, and most of the bands I listen to sing in different languages... so that's a tough one.

Hypothermia - Isolation I've had this album on repeat a lot lately.

Lyrics are in Swedish, but Hypothermia is possibly the best dsbm band out there.

I've been digging Electric Wizard lately. I recommend Witchcult Today.
