oi, broseph, just a quick request for when/ if my dwarf is already there.  Mind equipping the center of a basement with my kennel?  I prefer to work in secret :P

Hog has the reigns now, I went crazy, locked myself in city hall, and adopted a grown man as my brother in law. I also kidnapped/adopted a child as my honorary son.

Funsies, well hiritcon, same request of you, except maybe every 1 out of three war animals I train get assigned to me, got to defend my land, you know?  And I don't trust the new cog fellow too much... :P

And you know what? Sod it, I'll take a turn, expect me to turtle the entire time, or get us killed, either or. but before that, any idea if this will work for screen capture?

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

I've been lurking Harvest Dwarf for a while now, and I can't resist the urge anymore to not ask for a turn and a dwarfing.

Personal suggestion: we really should resist the urge to dig for stone as long as we can. I think it makes the fort that much more fun. And... what about clay? Has anyone found a soil layer with clay in it yet? beeeecause we could use that for buildings. No joke. http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/Clay

All we'd have to do is set up a kiln and start gathering clay. Then we can use the boulders to build walls, and save the wood for flooring and roofing with cedar shingles / etc.

... (I kind of want to make my own little building out of red clay bricks now). Though perhaps that should be saved for community centers. Plus, turning out clay bricks would raise our fort value.

Wood: 3
Clay: 3 (as stone)
Earthenware brick: 3x5 (block base value) = 15
Fire clay: 4
Stoneware Brick: 4x5 = 20

In addition, we can pump out porcelain stoneware jugs and pots (if we can find fire clay) for liquid and food storage.

Anyways. My two dwarf bucks. But could I be dwarfed with this new migrant wave, as a kiln operator if possible (if not, just someone interesting). And put me up for a turn, please.
