((I realize that personally performing missions was supposed to only be for people starting with the astronaut archetype, but you've been lenient on letting people other than me use money for prestige, which was originally only to be for lobbyists. If not, treat it as a tourist with a bit of training poking around.))
Well, you won't get  the special bonus for astronauts, just the normal leader bonus . Just like they only got the throwing money at things to increase PR roll bonus, and not the actual lobyist bonus. It would be more clear when one of them failed his PR roll, which hasn't happened yet(Because throwing cash at things whitout lobbyist increases your gains but also your possible losses).

More turn!

Research:
Theoretical work on unmanned rovers.  (Think Spirt and Opportunity.)

[Electronics Expert] Continue work on the short-range anti-missile module for pure defensive use. (1k)

Improve the protection of the improved duct tape.  (1k)

Increase the reusability of the Space Shuttle hull.  (1k)

Designs:

None this time.

Building:

Construct an R&D center to give a bonus to designs made.  (5k)  Can I expand it again for 10k this turn or does that need to wait till next turn?

Other:

See Nirur's turn.  My launch schedule is in that.

Expenses: 9k (or 19k) (5k (or 15k) construction, 4k research)

I think I might start on an advanced tech in a few turns.
Are quantum entanglement communicators possible? If I decide to go with them, would I start with quantum mechanics, or would I be able to go straight to quantum entanglement?
If I wanted something more volatile, and was building more lab space for it, how much extra would it cost to securely build it in a reinforced underground bunker, where mishaps cannot cripple me?

They are quite possible. Not going to be very useful until you start colonizing planets, but instant communication is not to be sneered at. If you want to do other quantum related stuff too I'd take that, but otherwise quantum entanglement.

I'll throw bunker under specialized labs. No bonus but fails have a much smaller impact. Scientist also lower fail chances.

I think I'd rather have RC drones than intelligent AIs. Think of the possibilities!

I care little for something so petty as extravagant costs!

Doing that at the moment. It would be helpfull if the system told you how much characters you had to many though, since word tells I only have 39.000.
