OP never posted a screenshot? I thought this was impossible.

With the default raws, yes, it's impossible.

However, I modded in candy in another (and exceedingly rare) form.  So it isn't REALLY candy, but it's functionally identical.  But without the [DEEP_SPECIAL] tag the game sees it as just another mineral.  And thus, a FB can be made out of it.

The overly religious would probably hate it,

Say no more!  It needs to be made!

It'd be like Life Of Brian[1][2][3], but with a bit less desert and a bit more snow...

No no! Far too many of lovecrafts stories have resorted to camp!

(Why does hollywood fear the poingant hopelessness and lack of "divine good" in lovecrafts stories? That the best humanity can hope for is a temporary stay of execution held back by the most ephemeral of barriers *IS THE WHOLE POINT* damnit!)

Lack of a female role?

If they want a story with a female role, they should do the mound.. oh wait, they want a sexy female role that *isnt* a killer, backstabbing psionic witch? My bad....they aren't gonna get much "sexytime" out of lovecrafts work.

Not without butchering it anyway.

Shadow over Innsmouth has sexytime! Well. Rapeytime by fish people but it's basically the same thing as far as hollywood would be concerned. Or a hentai producer.

Not enough tentacles.

You need shub nigguroth, or yog sothoth for that.

Chtulu doesn't have a thing for humans like that. He just likes torturetime, and crazytime.

Dagon likes rapeytime, but again, no tentacles.

Universal should just be happy they don't have to present any black people in a Lovecraftian setting.

Also, Nile:

ARRA! ARRA! ARRA! DAGON! DAGON! DAGON!

Not completely true!

There was that one story about that nobleman that set himself on fire when he learned the terrible family secret......

Lots of scenes in deepest, darkest africa in that one!

I was referring more to the shocking racism (even for his time) than the existence of such. The description of the black man in Horror at Red Hook (I think) - Oh my god...

Ahhhh. That would be the starheadded elder things!

Now, the million urist question:

Would you prefer the degenerate ones from mountains of madness, and their evolved shoggoth slaves? Or would you prefer the thriving outre ones, as seen in lights in the witch house? ;)

The deep ones are from the shadow over insmouth, and are totally different. They shepherded the shoggoth after the earth froze, as stated in the mountains of madness. The deep oceans didn't freeze, and the shoggoth down there survived. :)  the deep ones found them, and have made use of them after the downfall of their former masters.

The elder things are simply alien. Neither good nor evil. The deep ones on the other hand... different kettle of.....fish..... altogether! Muahaha.

*edit*

Cho'gath? Oh no, don't be silly. That handsome person is clearly sturdy and rigid in body, and not nearly enough eyeballs!
It wouldn't matter. Dwarves are too busy contemplating what sauce would go best with the eldritch horrors, rather than perform rituals to appease them. Alcohol is truly the best form of defense against insanity.

Nameless horrors and ephemeral creatures... oh yes. A lovecraftian creatures mod would be sublime. Soooooooooo many fun things live in the deep in his bestiary.

Someone's already made it. It resides within the modding forum somewhere, in a mysterious leather bound thread... Waiting to be recovered.

I must recover and examine it immediately for authenticity!

It had better not be the inferior english translation!

Yes they can, but I've only actually gotten like 3 or 4 boulders.  To be fair, I have only found one pocket of the "false candy" so far.  It's rare.

It's more of a novelty.  It's far easier to find and use real candy, even taking the stick into account.

*Yanks thread violently back on topic*

So, yes, a candy FB.  . . . How should I deal with this walking doom?

Give it a free pass to the circus. Enjoy the sideshow.
