I'd always thought that thing was some kind of Spongebob parody. Finding out that it was in fact from a game I'd played and loved and forgot to finish gave me a sad.

Anyways... I think this sort of thing would have been a bad idea (and yes, I'm aware that any further discussion on the matter is now more-or-less moot). I believe negative criticism is a good thing as long as the proper respect is maintained. If someone's doing something they shouldn't and doesn't realise it or want to believe it, it's important that somebody else explains such to them. Otherwise, you end up with a hugbox in which everyone acts like dumbasses because nobody's allowed to acknowledge that they're being dumbasses which in turn prevents anyone from figuring out how not to be a dumbass.
