Both. And see if you can make a sort of gunpowder making reaction for the ammo.
Wait you want to see firearms in the succession?
Why the heck not? It'd make the game more interesting. Plus, it'd also make sieges with archers more deadly
It looked like Valrandir dropped out over this. Was that because of the addition of firearms, or because he felt it was incomplete? I don't really want to overmod this, but getting firearms to work in a reasonable way might be within the capabilities.
If its really an aesthetic thing, I can just change the gun workshop so the nevreans just have advanced ranged weapons without resorting to gunpowder.
Well, actually, I started to make a mod that included advanced ranged weapons without using gunpowder; I imagined that they used a blast of air, instead. I dubbed them "dart guns" and added five different types of darts, using the same [CLASS:DART].
Pocket pistol: A small, odd little device. It uses a burst of air stored in the grip to launch a dart at a low velocity. It can fit in a small pouch for easy concealment.
Folding rifle: A large, odd little device. It uses a burst of air stored above the grip to launch a dart at a medium velocity. It can be folded into a small case for easy transport and concealment.
Dart: Just a basic dart. A little bigger and more contact and penetration than a blowdart.
AP dart: AP stands for Armor-Piercing. It has a blunt attack and a marginal contact area, and is a good bit heavier, weighing as much as a normal bolt.
Magnum dart: A dart with a fairly large contact and penetration. It weighs about as much as a large dagger.
Swarm-dart bundle: A bad attempt at a shotgun blast. Initially imagined as a bunch of tiny little darts tied together that spread out upon leaving the barrel.
Superdart: A huge, heavy dart. Weighing about as much as a spear, and with a large blunt attack, this could wreak havoc on an attacking enemy, causing nasty internal wounds.
Said mod never got completed enough for me to test it, and I cancelled making it.
