((Wait, they send squads of troops after Stabby McNinjaKill but we get ZeroMcMindRape after us? Somethings not right here.))
Get back up and fight.

You wonder why they are sending a practical God after you, but then you realize. You are immortal. The Hidden can be killed, but... you cannot! You can only die against another Subject, or else you just reincarnate again!

You get up, and fight.

Well, fight, until Subject Zebra punches you out the window. You fall, and fall, and fall...

Chaper One: Subject has ended. Chapter Two: The Hidden has begun.

I was tired.

I was so very very tired of all this.

This cloak and dagger, this impossible conspiracy of dead people who had valuable information. I was so very tired of all of this... mess. I hated every single second of my life, and that Subject had let me feel something good. I didn't want him to die. I wanted him to live.

But, as I stared down that monster, I wondered how I would do it. My combat-enhanced senses considered the situation...

Consider the situation

Well, the situation was in all honesty not that great.

The only key to this entire situation just got punched out the window, and the only way I could probably escape is by following him. Otherwise, I'd have to go through that thing down the hallway.

I jumped out of the window, falling, falling...

***

You seem to be drifting. Nowhere to stay, nothing to return to. It seems that this is the end for you, maybe. Minds are beautiful things. They are well programmed little machines, with their own code. You are the programmer. You can just... Understand that code. Maybe. Possibly. The code speaks to you, it sings to you. Beautiful things... But now, the code is silent. You are in the afterlife, you suppose. Well, it's pretty much oblivion. Darkness covers you, and you cannot see...

(This looks like a game over. It should be a game over, unless Hidden finds some guy with a resurrection power.)

You can still cognize and think. You exist. To do so more properly, make a road in your mind and feel it beneath some feet. Then, follow that road to the empty shell of a sleeper who went farther than sleep.

Stand and stretch.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

(Never trust your eyes.)

The darkness lets up. The light surronds you, and you feel recuperated. Moving slowly, you walk down a narrow path towards the light. A Dark God looks upon you.

What are you?, I ask, Guided by voices, never taking up a path of your own?

You stare, and await the voices to say what to say.

Do not listen to them, I say, for this time. What is your honest answer?

...

"I... I want to be free."

Good, I say, Then die.

Falling, falling...

*

I managed to get down to streetlevel. The guy's heartbeat was non-existance. FUCK! Why, why?

*

No.

No, I say.

I don't wanna die. I wanna be free, but guided by voices. You have helped me a lot over these past few days, and I am not done here. I am a person, but I don't wanna die.

Coughing, I can't even feel anything. The Hidden stands over me. I stand myself up, grab my knife, and get ready to run.
