You continue operation wait around. Helluva a storm outside. Time seems to drag, but it's certainly long, cold, and painful on your leg. Eventually, the storm tapers off and it seems like it's dawn outside. You're not sure if you should head outside, though . . .

The gentlemanly thing to do would be to offer your arm to the fair maiden, would it not? You do so, but either your gallantry fails miserably, or she just ignores you. Your ego has taken a bit of a hit.

You slide your key through the slot and open the door and the universe goes all wrong. You feel yourself pushed forward and stumble through the doorway. You hear the door slam behind you as you whirl around. What the heck?

It's a dark forest of great, tall pine trees. A hotel room door is set into the trunk of one, with a space cleared into the branches for access. A hundred meters away, the forest gives way to fields of cut crops with a small, dusty village visible on the other side. To the left, a tall, mountain looms over the area. It's dark out, but a full moon provides suitable illumination. However, there isn't a star in the sky . . .
