The PIECE OF SHIT has not been permanently modified for sea travel. It is the human year 2010, or Stephenian 10540.28

1. Make a flying craft 1(+2/skill )=3 You are really stumped with this one. Humans have been trying for a hundred years to make a vehicle capable of ground and air travel. You're going to have to gather alot more salvage before you can even attempt this one.
2.  Enter "BAR" 4 You enter a human drinking facility. Apparently, humans are attracted to "getting drunk" and "screwing", and possibly getting "shit faced".
You have no interest in human mechanical fastening methods, nor do you want to paint a picture of your car on your face, so you investigate "getting drunk" further. Apparently humans imbibe flammable liquids until they start talking nonsense. Fascinating! You buy a human male a drink
3. Hear rumors at BAR (free action)  "Buddy, there's a storm coming in out west that's makin' all sorts of crazy stuff happen. Apparently there's a big dust cloud.. some kind of monster is wrecking all sorts of stuff in the center. I heard it on AM radio, so it must be true. " 
4. Build SPAAD 4(+2/skill) = 6 A monster? Are they real? You have no idea , so you must consult your command. This is fascinating. To view the human's reactions to a real monster... a log of the humans reactions would be of great value. You start wiring together a SPAAD-relay on top of your car. You use a human "Egg Beater" for a synchronous mechanical signal. In order to successfully send a signal, you're going to have to string 20 miles of aluminum foil around an area and tap the center. You can send and receive exactly one reply with this device before the foil is blown away or picked up by stupid humans.

1 a&b. Watch National Geographic Channel 3 The Dog Whisper isn't on. Instead, you watch a special on Gorillas. Fun stuff.
2a. Dress 5 You have spotted a SHIRT. You roll initiative, lunge at the SHIRT and defeat it in mortal combat. You decide to wear it as a trophy.
2b. Dress 1 You see Bob put on a shirt in a dramatic way. You decide to do the same, however all you see is the TV. You lunge at the TV and it shocks you in retort. Yeeouch! (-1 health)
3a. Dress 2 You have spotted a PANTS creeping around the floor. It is time to defeat this foul creature in battle. You pull out your... spatula and slap at the pair of pants in the floor until it is modestly free of wrinkles. A job well done.
3b. Dress 5 After Bob has flogged his pants, you drag him over to the other side of the trailer to dig out a shirt. It's a "Marty Tour 2010 T-shirt!". Sweet, where did this come from?
4a. Dress 6(-1/actions)=5 You put on your now wrinkle-free trousers and admire yourself in the mirror. If only Bob didn't look like such a slob.
4b. Dress 3(-1/actions)=2 You need pants too. So you find a pair of camouflage shorts and slip them on.  Over top the wrinkle-free trousers.
5a. Dress 5(-2/actions)=3 It's shoe time. You put a shoe on your foot and wait impatiently for Bob to put on his.
5b. Dress 6(-2/actions)=4 Amazingly you find a matching shoe. You put that shoe on your foot. Your shoes are complete.
6a. Dress 5(-3/actions)=2 You put on a trenchcoat to hide the other bob, like you always do when going out in public.

I'm glad this is running again.

Since one of the coal hoppers is half full, I begin to dissasemble it to make some armour plating for the truck. I also try to reprogram the autopilot to add defensive maneuvers in case I'm attacked. I don't bother stopping the truck first though.

1. Disassemble Coal-Hopper While Truck is In Motion 5(+2/skill)(-1/sheer difficulty)=3 You take out a torch and start cutting hunks off your coal hopper while your truck is barreling down the road. You're holding onto the rigging for dear life while doing all this, but you still manage to keep a steady work pace.  You notice that a news camera is following you... you hear shouts from a bullhorn about a "reality show". Who gives a crap? It's going to take most of the day to get any armor from this. After several hours of concentration and effort, you manage to tack up a few armor plates to the side of your cab.
2. Painkiller Break- 5 Your arm hurts from throwing 100lb hunks of steel down from the coal hopper. You take some painkillers. (-1 painkiller)
3. Reprogram Autopilot 2(+2/skill)(-2/alien origin)(-1/high on drugs) This autopilot must have been written in Assembly, COBOL, and Bullshit! You hit what you presume is the keyboard, and the autopilot protests with a puff of smoke. Ugh.

Sitting on your crows nest, you determine your location to be around mile marker 750. You've burned 0.5 car of coal this turn. As you head back into the cab of your truck for the night, you hear a message on your CB. "I am seeking the monster in the west. Are any other drivers headed that way? "

You pull off the side of the road, take the radio out of your car, and reconfigure it to transmit on "CB Radio" frequencies. You send out a long range signal with the following content :
