Name: Oogway

Race: Desert Tortoise Man (245 points)

Equipment:
Copper Helm - 15 points
Iron Pike - 44 points
Copper Gauntlets - 10 points
Leather low boots - 4 points

Skills:
Talented fighter - 63 points
skilled pikeman - 50 points
Skilled dodger - 50 points

Backstory
Oogway's people all each pick one topic to specialize in learning the entirety of their lives. Usually this is a science or art form and it is what they are known for. Oogway is strange that he picked the topic "violence". He is actually entirely pleasant, but also his isolation from society, as all his kind are, has left him incredibly social inept. He would approach random strangers and ask them for violence or where to find violence or what kind of violence they preferred. This led to his imprisonment at times as well. With the arena the guards decided this was the best way to get him out of their hair, hopefully permanently. Oogway needed no convincing as the sub-topic of gladiatorial violence is something he has yet to explore and study! Also anyone who confuses him with a turtle makes him angry especially with lines of questioning relating to whether he can swim or not.

hope I did my math right spent 242 with 3 remaining.

The math for your equipment and stats are correct, however there are two things to keep in mind

-Desert Tortoise Men have 245 starting points, not 145 as you listed. after your current expenses, you would have 106 points remaining, not 6.
-If you're going to use a pike, you might want to use the Pikeman skill instead of the Spearman one. They cost the same, which is convenient. (unless you're going for something else with the Spearman stat purchase, just wanted to double check with you first though.)

Wooden Buckler - 22.5
Wooden Buckler - 22.5
Wooden Buckler - 22.5
Leather Armor - 12
Copper Helm - 15

SKILLS:
Proficient Shield User - 60
Competent Spearman - 30
Novice Dodger - 5

SPENT: 258
EXTRA: 2

BACKSTORY:
Blood Sucky Stabby started his life as every other tick does. In a cave somewhere, probably. But he wasn't satisfied with living in a cave! He wanted more, and more for his extremely large family as well. So, he ventured forth, keen on doing anything to help them out, and eventually settled on this arena, ready to put everything on the line for money.

Also, his family doesn't have names like dwarves do, so he just picked this moniker after reading a dictionary. His friends call him Stabby.

NAME: zeps
RACE: Ratman (+260)

EQUIPMENT:
Iron Scourge (-56)
SKILLS:
Fighter, Skilled (-30)
Lasher, Proficient (-90)
Dodger, Proficient (-75)
Discipline, Adequate (-9)

Backstory:
zeps recently got kicked out of his warren for being an unusually cruel packmaster. He sees a weathly future for himself in the arena however. He already floated to the top of his warren through his natural smarts and talent (for backstabbing). And, he has plenty of skills ready to apply to this new opportunity; how big of a difference could there be between lashing your underlings for encouragement, and lasher foes for discouragement?

Couple of mistakes here.
-Silver warhammer should cost 78 points, not 76. (3x26)
-Competent Hammerman is only 30 points, not 50.

Your current gear and skills still work, but nets you 14.5 points remaining instead of 0.5. Up to you if you want to revise this or not
Adjusted, thanks!

Name: Rasgrid the Bard
Race: Dwarf (Male)
Starting Points: 220

Skills:
Novice Fighter 1: +3
Novice Biter 1: +4
Novice Wrestler 1: +4
Competent Axeman 3: +36
Novice Armor User 1: +2
Competent Dodger 3: +30
Adequate Shield User 2: +12
(Skills subtotal = 91)

Equipment:
Iron Battle Axe: +48
Wooden Shield: +45
Copper Helm: +15
Leather Armor: +12
Leather Gauntlets: +4
Leather High Boots: +5
(equipment subtotal = 129)

(Grand total = 220; banked from initial build = 0)

Lore: Rasgrid Raskstafferson, of the Red Night Hall Ravenbeards, was a child of privilege, coming from a long line of craftsdwarves.  Yet his talent lay in song more than stonework, and Rasgrid the Bard performed in the elaborately decorated craft-halls and luxurious taverns for generous tips.

One day a terrible beast tore its way through into the fortress's upper levels, and more than all the blood and body parts, he was horrified by the blase reactions of the upper class, the nobility in particular.  He explored downward and found that the life of a common dwarf was brutal and short, and a single piece of the exquisite furniture he used to admire might have cost the lives of dozens of dwarves.  His songs and his venues changed, singing for the dwarves at the mine face and in the deep taverns, about their lives and their lack of justice.

After leading one too many protest songs in the deep taverns about common dwarves dying to horrors in the caverns so the nobility can sit on golden thrones, Rasgrid the Bard woke up from a drunken stupor to find he had been mysteriously "volunteered" for the arena. Will his basic militia training and a bit of tavern brawling experience keep him alive long enough to adapt?
